Cowboys re-sign Kyle Kosier

The Cowboys continue to work on their offensive line.

One day after dumping Leonard Davis and re-signing Doug Free, Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com reports that the Cowboys have re-signed guard Kyle Kosier to a three-year contract.

Kosier struggles to stay healthy at times, but this is his second multi-year deal with the Cowboys.  With first round pick Tyron Smith also added to the mix, the Cowboys line is almost settled.  Marc Colombo’s status remains up in the air.

  1. Colombo’s status is not up in the air. He just got pushed out of a starting job but he is still under contract. They may keep him as a backup.

Look for them to move on Cullen Jenkins and/or Abram Elam soon.

  2. Alright glad we kept him, I see holland moving over to right guard or a signing of a solid guard. for depth. It’s looking alot better than I expected for the cowboys. Now lets get some Defensive signings like a safety or two, and maybe some DE since we are lacking depth there.

  3. The left side of the Cowboys’ line was pretty good (Free & Kosier.) It was the right side that sucked. Bigg is gone and Columbo is apparently soon to follow. Perhaps another OG might be needed with some veteran experience next to the rookie Smith. Or Holland gets his big chance.

  4. Don’t forget Andre Gurode had offseason surgery. During most of the preseason and maybe for a regular season game or two we could have somebody else playing center.

  5. This was needed. His is solid but not great. The Cowboys need him, but he would not be as valuable to another team.. I’m glad they made it happen.
