This was needed. He is solid but not great. The Cowboys need him, but he would not be as valuable to another team.. I’m glad they made it happen.

Don’t forget Andre Gurode had offseason surgery. During most of the preseason and maybe for a regular season game or two we could have somebody else playing center.

The left side of the Cowboys’ line was pretty good (Free & Kosier.) It was the right side that sucked. Bigg is gone and Columbo is apparently soon to follow. Perhaps another OG might be needed with some veteran experience next to the rookie Smith. Or Holland gets his big chance.

Alright glad we kept him, I see holland moving over to right guard or a signing of a solid guard. for depth. It’s looking alot better than I expected for the cowboys. Now lets get some Defensive signings like a safety or two, and maybe some DE since we are lacking depth there.

Colombo’s status is not up in the air. He just got pushed out of a starting job but he is still under contract. They may keep him as a backup.

Look for them to move on Cullen Jenkins and/or Abram Elam soon.
