The joke about the Giants organization playing in NJ, with NJ and NY fans, is completely lame. It's a stretch attempt at trying to make a joke. It's not even an insult to any of us. You make a joke about NJ being trashy? You mean the parts in South NJ that are infested with people who root for the Eagles? EXACTLY, they are trash - and the rest of the state knows this. Those are the fairy weather fans that started rooting for your organization roughly 10 years ago, when you became respectable (I use that word lightly).

No Giant fan is jealous of anything in Philly - period. We are a team that doesn't pride ourselves on the regular season, like your organization does. Congrats on the punt return - what did you do with that momentum? That is the bigger joke. Your organization has one goal, to win a Superbowl. The fact that Philly STILL hasn't done that makes them failures. There is no use in sugar-coating that fact. Your organization simply cannot figure out that having a moron under center, that runs around like a tool, is not the prototype in the NFL for winning. If it was, everyone else would be doing it. That's why your QBs, the leaders of your organization, crumble every January.

Funny how Eagle fans (like mad5555 and eaglefanxx, among others) are so quick to defend Michael Vick. "He's done his time, why can't people forgive, it's time to move on, yadda yadda yadda...". But when the subject of Burress comes up, you get quotes like:

"Do the Eagles really want a guy like Burress who missed or was late to over 40 team meetings in 2008 to influence their young, impressionable WR’s? Let him take his lousy attitude and diminishing skills to another team."

Why would any team want a QB who admitted to executing dogs and was imprisoned for interstate gambling? Oh yeah, because prison made him realize the error of his ways, and now he is a "better, more mature person".

So it's not possible that Burress also learned the error of his ways, and can come out and be a positive role model for younger players? You know, like your poster boy Vick is doing? Oh wait, it would ONLY be possible if he was going to the Eagles, right?

wow u know u got a weak qb when u have to let people know he's not a punk.
HAHAHA
How did the eagles run mcnabb out of town uncerimoniously? They sent him to a team he wanted within the divison for less compensation than if they would have sent him to oakland.
I am sure u were one who didn't want Plax until today, aint that right fairy weather fan. let me guess you are from NJ, right?

Plex will be a Giant again, and the Gmen will have the sickest reciving core in the league; Nicks / Plex / Manningham / Smith / Boss as an outlet, Bradshaw on the edge, and Jacobs pounding the rock, completely UNSTOPPABLE offense....

As far as the Eagles go, well yeah you haters always have some stupid thing to say about everything, so I just dismiss your idiocy, any fan base that would run McNabb out of town so uncerimoniously after what he did for that franchise easily proves that you Filth-adelphia fans are completely clueless, and just haters...

Stop player hatin, cuz the Giants playahs are going to light you up twice this year for a combined score of at least 84 to 20, Eli is going to toy with your secondary again just like he did for 4 years with Plex!

Coach Coughlin: Plaxico, Do you feel you've been rehabilitated?
Plaxico: Rehabilitated?... Well, now, let me see. You know, I don't have any idea what that means.
Rehabilitation Officer: Well, it means that you're ready to rejoin society, you know, the Giants!
Plaxico: I know what you think it means, sonny. To me it's just a made-up word. A politician's word, so that old fart coaches like yourself can wear a suit and a tie and have a job. What do you really wanna know? Am I sorry for what I did?
Coach Coughlin: Well, are you?
Paxico: There's not a day goes by I don't feel regret. Not because I'm in here; or because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try to talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can't. That kid's long gone and this old man is all that left. I gotta live with that. Rehabilitated? It's just a BS word. So go ahead and stamp your forms, sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don't give a S*#T!

So where are the philadelphia owned NJ giant fans that say they are glad their team is not interested in bringing back this nitwit? Bunch fairy weather fans.
==================================

"Fairy weather fans"

This from a fan base that had a QB that took them to 5 NFC championships & a SB & ran him out of town on a rail only to embrace a career choker, that has never lived up to his hype. He's a sadistic, suffereing animal torturer that had as much respect for women as he had for sick animals which was shown when he, after being treated under an assumed name went out & infected women with an incurable disease. Add to that he's a pathological liar that without the Eagles support system, would have be back in jail last June.

Stop hating Eagle fans, regular season wins are for losers, it's not our fault the last time you won anything was FIFTY ONE YEARS AGO!

Why would the Eagles pursue Burress? They have two quality starting WR's in DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. The Eagles don't pursue aging players (Burress will be 34 in August), especially WR's.

Do the Eagles really want a guy like Burress who missed or was late to over 40 team meetings in 2008 to influence their young, impressionable WR's? Let him take his lousy attitude and diminishing skills to another team.

I never understood why people were saying the Eagles would make a play for Burress. They have great skill position players. The Eagles need help in the secondary, offensive line, and defensive line.
