ik these boys fans are delusional they talk trash like they havent been just as bad (maybe even worse) in the past decade. You sound like another guy who has missed some recent history. Danny isn’t doing the buying anymore, and Vinny Cerrato is gone, which is good news for Redskins Nation!!

Allen and Shanahan are running the football operation now. They both know you can’t buy a SB team, so that’s why they were aggressive in the draft and also why they are being a lot more conservative so far in signing FA’s than Snyder and Cerrato ever thought about being.

They ARE rebuilding. Did you miss seeing this year’s draft picks?

You can’t fill all your immediate needs with one off-season’s draft, even though they did a very good job with the picks they had. This is what free-agency is for, if you’re smart and don’t over-spend.

I have nothing to say about this or any of our trades/acquisitions. I just want to say that I am glad I am not a fan of a team where most of my fellow fans are just fans because it’s more of a fashion statement to sure a star on your hat than anything else. My fellow fans can name more than 2 players on the team. Cowbitch fans are the dumbest fans in all of sports and I hate them more than the cowboys themselves

Wow, this would be a heck of a pickup for them, if true. On paper, they would suddenly have a good looking defensive front 7, provided Perry Riley is solid at one ILB spot. An odd front of Cullen Jenkins, Barry Cofield, and Adam Carriker, while not great, is a solid looking group. Of course, depth is a concern.

If Orakpo/Kerrigan can provide a pass rush, they suddenly look like a defense that could improve by a ton from last year awfully quick.

For people wondering how the Redskins keep hanging on to cap money, it’s simple: Snyder is a media magnet. Most don’t like him, because he’s the opposite of JJones, who will probably be buried with a mic in his hands.

Every signing, and even some that don’t happen, gets magnified. The Cowboys can sign Roy Williams, Pacman, Tank Johnson and even Julius Jones with barely a ripple. But let the Skins even enter the bidding for Cutler or Lance Briggs, and we get criticized for overpaying on a deal that never happened.

Cullen Jenkins is a good one. He’s ideal fit for a 3-4 end because he’s kind of a DT/DE ‘tweener with good pass rush. He can also play inside in a 4-3, especially in nickel situations. I wish the Packers could keep him but he’s the wrong side of 30 and they have cap issues.

Skins are bringing in all talent that they can sign for 4+ years, so yea it’s part of rebuilding. People have to see the difference between signing Otogwe, Coefield, Wilson, Stallworth, Jenkins and when we used to sign guys who were 35+ and washed up

With so many holes to fill, I like that Shanahan/Allen are going for many high quality veterans rather than 27 yr old stars that cost a fortune. Having said that I hope they spend to get Nnamdi. Shut-down corners are the best.

Jenkins is a beast, but got hurt too much, is on the wrong side of 30 and was looking to get paid some fat cash. That being said, he’s a great team player and relentless in the pass rush. I wish the Packers could have kept him, but they have too much young talent they’ll need to lock up this year to have kept Jenkins. Not a bad problem to have.

Luckily the Packers have a great d-line coach and some up and comers to replace Jenkins. Thanks for the memories Cullen and I hope when all is said and done the cash makes up for the 2-3 rings your going to miss out on.

Haters gonna hate. Redskins are over $20 million UNDER the cap, guys and have the coin to make more moves.

Not saying they are winning a SB this year. They are not winning the SB without upgrades to OL and QB. BUT, the moves so far to shore up the # 2, 3 and 4 WR slots, defensive line, and cornerback are good and directly address holes from last season.

They are heading in the right direction. SB this year? Of course not. Improvement from last year? Absolutely.
