Birdobeamen, You won’t be flipping VY for a profit. You got a 2nd round and a 3rd/4th round pick for Vick from Washington, but let’s face it – Washington overpays for everybody. Vick, yes, you could flip him for a profit, but you won’t.

Flybirdsfly, do you really want credit for this telegraphed move? I, too, speculated the same thing about Kolb, DRC, and VY when it was apparent he would be out in Tennessee and when the speculation started with Kolb going elsewhere. A whole host of sportswriters also thought the same thing. How are you going to rectify VY if he is only playing to spell Vick? There are those who can be rectified (Vick, who went to prison, got his head and his priorities right, and was fortunate enough to come back and play at a high level) and then you have VY, who is young, dumb, uncoachable (if Fisher can’t coach him, I doubt Reid can), and won’t be worth anything as a back-up IF Reid and the Eagles take him on.

It looks like a fit on paper, and the Eagles may pull the trigger, but I think there is trouble in Philly if they do bring him aboard. Just my opinion, but VY is a headcase, and a headache just waiting to happen. Just because it worked out with Vick, it doesn’t guarantee anything with VY.

Having said that, it would do VY good to man up WHEREVER he goes. He burned his bridges in Tenn, and he will be lucky to still have a job in the NFL at all this year. This will be his last chance to make it in the pros, IMO.

Some people flip houses.

Andy Reid and the Eagles just flip quarterbacks. Sign him to a two year 2 million dollar deal and then trade him for a first round pick and Cameron Wake next year. Easy. It’s just what we do.
