Clint Session joins Jaguars

C. Session2

The Jaguars have successfully rebuilt their linebacker group, and they spent a lot to make it happen.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that Clint Session will get $11.5 million guaranteed in a five-year, $30 million contract. That is very similar to the deal that Quincy Black signed in Tampa, and a little less than the deal that former Bills linebacker Paul Poslusnzy already signed with Jacksonville.

On paper, the Jaguars have a nice group with Daryl Smith, Session, and “Poz.”

Then again, we can’t think of many championships built by giving huge signing bonuses to good, not great linebackers that don’t rush the passer.
