As a Colts fan I think Session is a very average player. As a Colts fan I am in favor of the Jaguars spending $30m on average.

indycolt wouldn’t 30-11.5 just be salary that is NOT guaranteed? only 11.5 is guaranteed. So that is the signing bonus right? Not 18.5. Oh yeah, the deal is actually for 29 mill, 1 mill is incentive based, now reported via Times-Union.

Brilarjax: Agree on optimism with the new LB corps. Hope our DL can stuff some runners so our LBs don’t have to make so many solo tackles. I differ w/ you on Huff, though. Didn’t start making plays til last season & we burned Huff anyway.

Shoot they almost won it last year if MJD wasn’t playing the whole 2nd half of the season on one leg. It was blatant during the Colts showdown. I couldn’t believe how slow he looked out there. Now we know why. Del Rio won’t get to beat the daylights out of his guys during the season anymore. They might not fade again like they usually do. Interesting coupled with Peyton’s neck, his holding the Colts front office hostage, Titans on the rebound, and the Texans being the Texans.

they’ll be pretty good if Kampman doesn’t blow out his ACL again, but… that happened during padded practice last year which is being significantly cut down due to the new CBA so… hmmm… Jags obviously are going to sign either Landry, or another saftey. And possibly one of the CBs, I heard they really like Carr but Carr wants to start. They should probably sign him and move Cox to a backup role. I question Cox’s love of the game after what he pulled last year. But yeah, they got tons of $$$ to spend. Jags might be a problem for the rest of the AFC South. Their Offense is in it’s 3rd year together. That’s usually a magic year for consistency.

Can’t see the excitement of a linebacking corps of Posluzny, Sessions, and Smith. It’s adequate, I suppose, but nothing more than that.

They still have more holes on defense IMHO. The offense actually has some good young playmakers and they strengthened that through the draft.

Look for some new additions in the secondary in this free agency period.

Not when they used to have really good LB’s and it still didn’t matter because their pass rush was still garbage and their 2ndary was average at best.

Your right everyone knew the Colts wouldnt resign him because they dont spend money on defense. Everything is spent on offense and that formula has worked since Peyton has been there.

For teams without a #18, signing quality players on both sides of the ball is kind of a priority.

Liked Clint but there was no way the Colts were giving him a 30 million dollar contract. Espeacially after breaking his arm and missing half of last season and rookies Pat Angerer and Kavell Conner filled in well. Jags must have really wanted him, good for him get that money while you can.

Would you like to clarify, I mean correct yourself there. I know this is associated with NBC news, but still a little accuracy could go a long way.
