Yes, the Giants are interested in Plaxico Burress. Yes, Burress is interested in the Giants.

No, Tom Coughlin isn’t interested in puckering up his lips and applying them to Burress’ butt in order to make it happen.

Coughlin spoke at training camp Friday regarding his upcoming meeting with Burress, and Coughlin minced no words.

What I have to hear is sincerity,” Coughlin said, per Jeff Roberts of NorthJersey.com. Coughlin added that he expected Burress to be a changed man, and that Coughlin himself hasn’t changed.

Asked why he agreed to meet with Burress, Coughlin said that, first, team ownership asked him to do it and that, second, “it’s business.”

By the sound of it, Coughlin has little interest in doing business with Burress, unless the guy who shows up tonight is dramatically different than the guy Coughlin coached in 2008.
