Just like the Phillies, the Eagles are trying to buy a title. I’ve been a lifelong Eagle hater and if Vick and Djax didn’t make it easy to hate them this certainly does. It’s gonna be that much sweeter when they fail to win a Super Bowl(AGAIN) after trying to stack the deck. Meanwhile my Steelers continue to draft players, develop them, and keep them. Can you remember the last time they paid for a big FA? 6 titles in PA Eagles fans. Thanks for your contribution. Bwahahahahahahaha

--------------------------------------------------
And 4 of those before most of us on here were born. Let me guess, that was about the same time you became a fan right? Or at least when your grandmom did right since you don't have a father that you know of and your mother hates you? Let me guess, she used to like them when they were on National TV every week right?

Newsflash, that was over 30 years ago champ.

You're so cliche', it's a joke.

Were you bragging about your team's draft skills when they sucked for the 27 years between championships?

You don't sign players because all your owner cares about is money. That is the truth.

And no matter now may championships your team wins, that city will always be living in Philly's shadow.

silverback9999 - your post comes from a very insecure spot deep in your heart. something clearly bothers you.

It's hard to "buy" a title when you face a salary cap.

How are those pirates, by the way? Who was president last time the Pirates made the playoffs? Hint: It was a Bush, but not the son.

haha, a corner who plays one side of the field. What a waste of cash. The Eagles do this every off-season. Go out a shocking sign the biggest free agent out there. Asante Samuel. Jason Peters. Jevon Kerase.

And guess what? IT LEADS TO NOTHING!

haha, keep patting yourself on the back eagirl fans, I’ll keep looking at your empty trophy case.

You will keep looking, won't you? Because the Eagles are in your head hardcore, and they're the most exciting show in the NFL.

I haven’t seen 7 objective posts about how these signings affect the NFC East race, just a bunch of blind homers.

Mr. Wright aka "Winky"

What do you consider objective? Facts?

Very well. The Eagles have beaten the Giants in SIX STRAIGHT GAMES . It could be seven, if you include the playoffs. That's not luck, nor a trend. That's dominance.

Going into the last game the two teams played, the Giants won three straight and allowed a total of 10 pts in the last two games of that winning streak.

The Giants (as we all know) had the lead in the 4th quarter in both contests last year and end up losing both games, the second one in absolutely spectacular fashion. As you babble on about turnovers, there wasn't a SINGLE turnover committed by the Giants in the fourth quarter, where they allowed 21 pts in the final 8:17 (or do you need to be reminded of that.....I think you do...)

In fact, the only turnover committed in that quarter was by the EAGLES, which lead to the Giants final points of the day (see, turnovers work both ways, Slappy)

Turnovers are a part of the game, Winky. It's the single most variable factor in determining wins and losses. Either teams are committing them or forcing them (that's why they are measured in a RATIO....see...I knew you could follow along)

These signings only reinforce the fact of which the rest of the division already knows: They are already the defending division champions and have added FOUR Pro Bowl players on defense. FOUR.

Please save your diatribes for someone who actually can stand you. The Giants have made it clear that they are not only talent deficient, but mentally deficient as well, to beat the Eagles.

Don't go away mad, Winky. Just go away.

FIRST THINGS FIRST.... hahahahahahahs to jets, cowboys, giants, skins!!!! NOW , packers fans, last year with 1 cb we gave you all you could handle. Asante if you remember was coming off injury not 100 percent. Eagles were about to win if not for an ill-advised throw late in the 4th qrt. So don't go running yer mouths like you dominated the birds cuz it didn't happen. You won the superbowl yes you did but that very well could have been the eagles. Rodgers did light up joselio Hanson and dimitri Patterson. That won't happen to nnamdi and DRC, eliminate the receiver on nnamdi's side of the field, risk throwing a pick towards Asante. Omg that eliminated Aaron Rodgers. Go ahead n say that the pack still has the same team as last year that's true, but the eagles were as good as the pack last year but we are a whole hell of alot better this year!! Hate all you want the EAGLES are the team to beat! You can hate the birds cuz yer scared, or respect the birds cuz yer scared, either way yer still scared!!!

While I believe Dallas will continue to build upon how they finished the season last year, they've shed a bit too much talent and haven't taken care of the main thing that got them beat so frequently last year defensively -- THEIR SECONDARY.

The plain and simple fact is, as long as the Giants are healthy and knowing that the anomaly that was last year's turnover number will not happen again -- that it is their division to lose. I haven't seen 7 objective posts about how these signings affect the NFC East race, just a bunch of blind homers.

the iggles will choke once again, despite the signing of this overrated cb asomugha. with no expectations the cowboys will win the nfc east. mike vick will not hold up the entire season, and the iggles expect vince young to do the trick, please. asomugha could not cover any of the cowboys receivers when the raiders played the cowboys in 2009 thanks giving game, the tape do not lie. the expectations is now andy reid to produce or else. the media, fans of the iggels now expect super bowl or bust. it will be bust. the reason why the cowboys will win the nfc east when there is no expectations, the cowboys do more than expected, especially coming off a 6-10 record. jason garrett and rob ryan will hav the cowboys ready when the whistle blows, guaranteed. i predict their will b 3 teams in the andrew luck sweepstakes, the redskins, the bills and the seahawks, let's b realistic do shanahan truly believe that john beck can win more than 6 games for the redskins, and chan gailey got luck last year when fitzpatrick won, now he has typen to back up and the mess in seattle, no qb per se. romo will have a breakout year this year with a revamp offensive line and soild receivers and a shafty running game, espect the cowboys to be 12-4, this season and to represent the nfc in indy in 2012, romo will finally show the rest of the nfl the leader his is and will finally get that danny white perception off his back.

If I were king of the world for a day, the first thing I would do is make it illegal for people to say "we" when referring to the team they root for.

This delusion of participation, or the idea that you somehow have something to do with what happens with team that you root for, is completely exclusive to team sports.

Think about the other things you are a fan of. Do you ever say after watching an episode of your favorite TV show, "boy, WE sure did put together a great program tonight!"?

Do me a favor, Mr. (or Ms.) "We". Drive up to the facilities of the team you root for and try to get in the front door. Wear your jersey. See how far you get.

Wow, Dallas actually tried to fit Asomugha in. Well, lets use that money and fill in our needs now that the Nnamdi ship has sailed. Thumb me down Eagle fans but you know better then anyone else the Eagles will always find a way to disappoint in the end. Keep trying to buy a superbowl.

Hilarious.

Not a fan of either team, but a Cowboys fan accusing any other team of trying to buy a championship is the classic case of the pot not knowing what color it is.
