Cro, Routt, Branch, Huff with M. Mitchell, Stevie Brown, Chris Johnson, and the 4 CB ‘s we drafted the last two years will be fine without Nnamdi…(who is a punk and will not win a championship)

I’m getting frustrated finding out the Niners are interested in a player. If the Niners really wanted to sign someone why don’t they target who they want and just act aggressive, fly them to the bay area, show them the money and get the deal done! We have yet to sign someone, and you look at some other teams like the Eagles and you start to wonder, what the hell is going on?!

I’m trying to be patient as a fan but it’s getting to a point where all the top players are getting signed else where.

Right now, I see two players the Niners missed out on which would have significantly improved our team’s weakness’….Sidney Rice (deep threat which we don’t have) and Asomugha (our top corner we have been searching for since Deion).
With those two additions = NFC West Champs.

What the 9ers need to do is give Cromartie whatever he needs and trade for Asante Samuels, sign Goldson back, sign Aubrayo Franklin back, bring in Braylon Edwards, Steve Smith, or Malcolm floyd, Cullen Jenkins

Dude, Gore’s way over-rated. In 2006 FO had him as the 12th back in the NFL and that was his peak. In 2007 he was down to 15th or so. Since then he’s been 29th (2008), 20th (2009) and a big, fat 34th last year.

Add to his obviously declining effectiveness, he’s a big-time fumbler, not much of a pass receiver (too many drops and tips) and that his style of running causes excess injury risk and wear… The 49ers would be lucky to get 12 below-average games a season out of him.

And, if you failed to notice, Westbrook was much better than Gore once Gore went down. He made more of a difference on the field during his 6 games than Gore did in his 11…

I appreciate what Gore did, but he’s really declining and declining fast. I don’t think he’s worth resigning.

Better to chase Ahmand Bradshaw or Joseph Addai. Or even go after Westbrook again, only this time as a starter…

Honestly if every person has the argument that Antonio has alot of kids than they obviously don’t know crap about football! It doesn’t mean a darn thing! I love how the Jets put all their eggs in one basket and got totally burned. They have been losing some players and they missed out on other talented free agents. If Cromartie leaves, the Jets will have managed to get worse in their chase for Nnamdi. As an Eagles fan, I love watching the NY crybabies (Giants and Jets alike) get owned. Almost as much as I loved how the Eagles made Jerry Jones cry when they got Nnamdi haha! Fly Eagles Fly!

@ briank1ne if Gore had Rice’s work ethic he wouldn’t be holding out. Nuff said. He would also prove he deserves a longer commitment by lasting the whole season for once in his life. There is more to work ethic than not wanting to come off the field (you know that could also be selfishness). 4.9 million is plenty for him. Yeah his salary is 2.9 but he gets an automatic 2 mil roster bonus. Gore is a beast, but you can’t count on him to be there every week.

The 49ers seem to be “interested” in a lot of people. Wake me when the interest turns into a contract for anyone half worth a crap. I was thrilled and surprised to see them chase Asomugha, but they didn’t get him, and let the best alternative slip because they threw their eggs in one basket instead of talking to multiple people just like when they pursued Harbaugh. They lucked out on that one, but swung for the fences and missed not only Nnamdi, but Joseph as well because they only focused on him. Now all we hear coming out of Santa Clara is crickets, and occasional reports of “interest”

Most of the aquisitions that were made we didnt hear of the team being interested. All we knew was that when we turned on the tv, computers, radios all we heard was a player was signed to that team. All im sayin is stop talkin & start signing

After all, SF has been saying their priority is to sign and retain their current starters…

Most fans are more worried that Gore is asking for more money when he keeps missing more and more games. He is aging, past his prime, and probably won’t make it through the season again. I really hate to say it because I love Gore, but it would be silly to give him a big long term deal now.
