Titans pick up Shaun Smith

After cutting Tony Brown Thursday and watching Jason Babin head to Philadelphia, the Titans have made a move to fortify their defensive line.

Shaun Smith has agreed to terms, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.  Smith and Ron Edwards have now both left Kansas City after solid seasons.

There is a lot to wonder about with the Titans this year, but their defensive line is near the top of the list.  They ran a successful system when Jim Washburn was the defensive line coach, and now seem to be starting their scheme from scratch.

Speaking of the Chiefs, it seems they’ve been super quiet so far.

Ron Edwards & now Shaun Smith leaving the middle of that Defense has me nervous right now. Hope something gets anounced later today. If not…my hopes for the season aren’t as high as they once were.

Shaun Smith about 320 lbs. of “run st0pper”.
Titans seem committed to stopping the run this year, look how big the the DL has gotten recently.
They drafted big guys too. Jurrel 300+ and Clayton 300+.

ATTN: Offensive guards and centers of the AFC South – Tuck away the ol’ family jewels, because the “Nut Cracker” has landed in your division.

He will caress them ever so softly, just before the pain is unleashed.

    You’ve been warned.
