Can anyone tell me why Reid still gets a pass for his crappy coaching? Vick is a one trick pony that “benefitted” last year from teams not sure what to expect from him. What exactly did Reid do for him? What did Reid do for 1st round draft pick McNabb? I mean, when you select a QB in the 1st round isn’t he expected to be good?

Reid has choked and whiffed on winning a championship, has made questionable decisions, and has lied through his teeth. Why is he held to a lower standard than other coaches?

(Hint: I know why. But I just thought it needed saying.)

I hate to say it, but if he were a white QB, he wouldnt get near this much acclaim, he’d just be Derek Anderson

With Vick a constant play away from injury, why not just have him as a normal backup? Why not give him 3 years?

Your name says it all. Get over yourself. Vick has been a different guy since they picked him up in 2009….on and off the field. He is the only reason we went to the playoffs last year. He’s made a team that needed several years of breaking in a new unproven QB into a real threat. With the Eagles’ improved their defense and OL (with Watkins, Babin and DRC), they should become an bona fide SB contender.

if, however, he decides to grow up and work like a grown man, they will teach him to play and probably squat on his rights next year as vick will have been signed to a longer deal by then.

You’ve now got the two most mobile quaterbacks in the game. You can fully tailor your offense to use Vick’s skills, without having to account for a back-up who is a statue by comparison.

Though I kinda feel sorry for Vince Young. I don’t actually think Andy Reid is that good at coaching quarterbacks. He is very good a using them, at maximising their potential through adjusting his scheme, but they don’t tend to leave as better players. As evidenced by their performance on other teams.

VY also struggled to cope with fan pressure, in Tennessee. Eagle fans get an unfair rap, but if there is any where a delicate flower like VY is going to struggle to cope with fan pressure, it’s Philly.

As both Kolb and Vick showed last year, you need to have two quality quarterbacks in this league if you want to do anything

Here’s the part Adam left out: If you claim him , you inherit the contract that he had at Tennessee. Think the Eagles are paying him anything like that? You think any team wants to pay him what he made for the Titans? I doubt it. He’ll clear waivers, and he knows that, that’s why he basically shopped himself like a free agent.
