Free agency opened, sort of, on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. ET.
It truly opens now.
As of 6:00 p.m. ET, the green flag has been waved. Contracts can be signed and visits may occur.
One agent told PFT last night that the inability to conduct visits possibly had suppressed the activity over the past few days, given that many guys don’t want to accept a deal without having a chance to see where he’ll be working and talk face-to-face with some of his coaches. An NFC personnel exec told PFT on Tuesday that fears regarding players shopping non-binding deals in principle to other teams possibly was affecting the activity.
As of now, anything goes. The NFL is finally fully open for business.
I grabbed 40 (or maybe 80) winks earlier this afternoon, so I’m ready to roll deep into Friday night and Saturday morning. Hopefully, some of you will be keeping me company.
