APThere just aren’t many decent quarterbacks left on the market, Marc Bulger excluded.
Billy Volek was the latest to agree to term Saturday, accepting a two-year deal in San Diego as Philip Rivers‘ backup according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune. He’ll get $6 million over two years, with $2.5 million guaranteed in 2011.
We haven’t seen Volek play much in a while because Rivers has proven so durable, but he’s been productive before as a starter and we implicitly trust Norv Turner’s taste in quarterbacks.

Congrats Billy!
With that said, Damn you Eagles!
Best regards,
#Team Balco President
Have you forgotten that Norv drafted Heath Shuler?
Good. I’ve been refreshing this page for three days now just to see where Billy Volek would end up.
No reason to add “Marc Bulger excluded” at the end of the first sentence.
