There just aren’t many decent quarterbacks left on the market, Marc Bulger excluded.
Billy Volek was the latest to agree to term Saturday, accepting a two-year deal in San Diego as Philip Rivers’ backup according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune. He’ll get $6 million over two years, with $2.5 million guaranteed in 2011.
We haven’t seen Volek play much in a while because Rivers has proven so durable, but he’s been productive before as a starter and we implicitly trust Norv Turner’s taste in quarterbacks.
