Remember Adams was DRC’s back up. Expect to see a lot of him at LCB in preseason while Peterson gets up to speed. Marshall and Toler will battle for RCB. Ultimately, I see Marshall winning and Toler moving to the nickel. So, the Cards are set a DB, let the Samuel talk die. Cards now need to consider defensive line depth and hope a OT/OG falls in their lap. Not much more will happen today, other than Peterson signing.

Richard Marshall is solid player… Terrell Owens said last year after they beat the Panthers that over the course of his career he has hated playing against Marshall/Gamble the most… AZ picked up a solid, hard hittin player.

That said, this means Samuel or Cromartie have got to give Carolina a shot… They see how Richardson is throwing the money around like he is.

Samuel played under McDermmot in Philly, he may take that to Charlotte.

Just think of how great this move may have been if they hadn’t made an awful trade for a “poser” QB earlier in the week.

I just dont get y they tried to get in on the osomghua sweepstakes. And then get marshall when they could have signed cromartie but hey thats the way the cards do it dumb sometimes.

I really hope the cards don’t take Samuel and get fleeced twice in the same off season, by the same team. Especially at a position in which they traded off their best player…

I’d rather not do business with the Eagles again this off-season.

They’d probably ask for Fitz and a 1st rounder for Samuel…

Love this signing. Inexpensive and a physical corner that we’re looking for. He started every game the last five years and has avg 73 total tackles each season. Solid signing.

During the Kolb trade, you’d think if they were going to need a cornerback, the Cardinals would’ve traded somebody else to the Eagles instead of DRC. Maybe they’ll get another CB in addition to Richard Marshall, like the other Cromartie, or Carlos Rogers or Fabian Washington.

Still think getting Orton and keeping DRC was a better option but that’s in the past. Hopefully this guy Marshall works out. Leery of former Panthers just based on thier record over the past few years. Need to sign Perterson today and another good wr.

The Cardinals should really do whatever they can to pick up Asante Samuel. He and Patrick Peterson would make a great duo for years. Or hey, why not trade to get back DRC?
