Thats when the Eagles got Anthony Dixon. He came in an out played Bunkley and took a lot of playing time away from him. Then going into last year he beat Bunkley out and even though he would start games Dixon would come in in a rotation but would end up getting the majority of the snaps. Even before Bunkley injured his shoulder.

Bunkley did show flashes of a potential pro bowl caliber player in the beginning of his career when Jim Johnson was the DC. Once he passed away it seemed Bunkley hit a wall and eventual regressed. I still think he has ability although he is under sized. I believe he could have gotten back to his old self under Jim Washburn but I think it was just time for him to move on and get a fresh start.

It is a good trade for both teams. The Eagles make room for Jenkins who fits Washburns system better and is an upgrade over Bunkley who salary for this season is about the same as what Jenkins will be making. While the Browns get a quality starting caliber player who can still get better for a 5th round pick.

In this shortened off season bringing in a bunch of players that never played together and hoping they will all play like they did for their Team they came from is a Pipe Dream.

It happens year after year and then the New England Coach picks the Busts up for a song bringing in a manageable 1 or 2 and wins games. My guess is that Philly will not play up to what they did last year. There is a reason they are still shopping for a Trophy Case Decade in and Decade out.
