Getty ImagesA year after Maurkice Pouncey entered the league as the 18th pick in round one and became a star with the Steelers, his twin brother Mike has officially become an NFL player, by agreeing to terms with the Dolphins.
Per a league source, the technically elder (by a minute) Pouncey has a deal in place, as the 15th pick.
Though Mike was drafted higher than Maurkice, Mike will make a lot less, with a four-year deal in the range of $9.2 million. Maurkice signed for five years and nearly $19 million, despite going three spots lower.

so in four years he’ll be wearing black n gold, cool
Poucheys suck
Neither will be hurting for loot. And they should both see a few more contracts before retirement. Maurkice is an absolute phenom and I expect his brother to have the same type of career.
They could sign entire draft class of 2011, and sign entire pro bowl team, and still fail.. They are destined to fail.. Its a slop job organization owned by a bunch of scum bags. Good Luck Reggie.
“Though Mike was drafted higher than Maurkice, Mike will make a lot less, with a four-year deal in the range of $9.2 million.”
Yeah. He has to play for the Dolphins too.
Guess who gets the titty-twisters at Thanksgiving.
And if Maurkice wasn’t one of the best rookies Mike would be slipped out of the first round or at least to 31.
Love the rookie wage scale.
DAMN do I love this new rookie wage scale!
Finally. Camp is so short this year and Henne and Pouncey need every second together.
Won’t be as good as his brother, but the guy is an upgrade. He is one of the more athletic centers in the game and you need to be able to pull to both sides on run plays. Will be an upgrade for Miami.
The success of the offensive line rests on his shoulders. The play at center last year by Joe Berger was not what is needed to increase yards per carry or open passing lanes for the qb.
I still think the Fins reached on him because of the last name
Can he play quarterback?
And Mark Sanchez is agreeing to get pouncey on some Jersey high school chicks. Unlike Big Ben, however, no doors need to be guarded…
If he turns out to be a stud in the NFL, I see the Dolphins locking him up for good in his fourth year.
That sucks for him. Shoulda came out last year. Maybe his bro will buy him a Bentley. Good player tho. Both of them.
Andrew Luck is going to have a pretty damn good OL next year
Chad Henne is a nice guy, but man I hope I’m wrong in my QB talent evaluation of Chad. Henne is terrible in his decision making and his timing is terrible in hitting WR’s in stride. Just check the Tennessee home game. Dan Foutes noted throughout the game. Jeff Ireland, you’re taking a huge risk in believing in Chad Henne. Henne lacks swagger and command in the team. Remember, he’s the only 4 year starter in Michigan school history to lose to Ohio State. That’s a RED FLAG. He chocks up in the big game. Clueless and dazed at times during the game. As season ticket holder, I have witnessed it at the games. The QB has to be your leader and commander on the field at all times. Not look like a coward. I hope I’m wrong. Please, I hope I’m wrong.
The “younger” Pouncey twin was supposed to be named Maurice, but after the labor of one fat bouncy Pouncey, the name came through poor Mom’s gritted teeth as “Maur..K..ice!”.
Congratulations. I always dreamed of one day being a center and snapping the ball to Matt Moore
What an idiot. Nah but really that sucks. Not so little bro knows best .
