APNick Barnett is the newest member of the Buffalo Bills.
In a series of posts on Twitter, Barnett made clear that he’s excited about heading to Buffalo.
“God has blessed me once again to be part of a great organization.. Great coaches, Great staff, Great players and more importantly great fans,” Barnett wrote, before adding, “GOBILLS.”
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Barnett and the Bills agreed to a three-year, $12 million deal with $6 million guaranteed.
Barnett was in Buffalo this morning (pictured talking to Bills assistant head coach/inside linebackers coach Dave Wannstedt) and canceled a trip to Detroit. Barnett joins the Bills after playing his entire eight-year career with the Packers.

Happy for ya Nick, and good pickup for the Bills.
From one small town team to another…
With the Bills using more of a hybrid scheme this year, i like this pick up. What better than a player who has had success in both 3-4 and 4-3 defenses…He just needs to stay HEALTHY!
Great signing by the Bills at their weakest position: ILB. If they can procure a RT in the next week or so and maybe snag Channing Crowder, this may be a team to watch!
Sorry Lions fans……seems like a class act guy, glad to have him.
Once Tulloch went to Detroit Barnett had no choice but to sign in NFL Siberia.
Buffalol.
Good move. Solid player, veteran presence, knowledge of the 3-4. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

Well… Buffalo does have a decent sized skyline… I dont know if Green Bay has one
Good luck to Nick.
@jpmelon
Are you kidding me? You can have him! We got Stephen Tulloch!
The Bills? Aside from the money, WHY would anyone want to go THERE?
He’ll be sorry in a few months when they’re losing three out of every four games.
Wanstache sighting!
To the Lions Fans that said Barnett would only be temporally visiting the B-lo…
Your growl is bigger than your bite!
Go Bills!!!!
Best of luck Nick Barnett
Although I’m a Lions fan I’m happy for the Bills and Nick Barnett.
Best 12 things about Buffalo….wings.
Thanks Nick for all your efforts in Green Bay … we’ve enjoyed watching you play. Best wishes to you and your new team.
Bills fans … you picked up a pretty darn good linebacker.
Enjoy
Not even a Bills fan but much respect to Barnett for having passion for his profession and the great western New York fan base!!!
[Go Steelers! (grew up near the 'Burgh and not far from Buffalo]
Thanks for your time in GB, good luck and stay healthy!
Congrats Bills fans, the guy is fully healthy now. With his wrist injury last season hes now two years removed from ACL surgery so he should be back to his old samurai warrior self.
Would’ve looked nice in burgundy and gold, too. But the Bills play hard and are on the way up. Nice signing.
“Sorry Lions fans……seems like a class act guy, glad to have him.”
Huh? We thought Barnett was plan B. We wanted Tulloch.
the Bills are my 2nd fav team. they need veteran leadership and will get it. i understand why he couldnt stay in gb, but im happy to see him in buf. good luck nick
you don’t think that maybe Tulloch signing with Detroit had something to do with it? i am sure we in detroit will console ourselves somehow….
Good luck, just not against the Pack!!!! Good signing for the Bills to go along with Merriman.
Good pickup by the Bills, coming from a Packer fan. Nick still has plenty of talent to offer, plenty of leadership in field to share… He was our defensive general every time he stepped onto the field. He list his job to injury and fresh talent, but I’m confident Nick still has several good years in him.
my dad always used to tell me, the key to a successful marriage is low expectations, BUT…this team is getting better. I like gailey and wannstadt as the co-head coaches and they’re making the necessary defensive improvements. Solid defensive backfield and the dedensive line looks solid. Lunebackers are a question mark but barnett and marriman (huge wildcard) add some credibility. The offense should be fun to watch with possibly the best WR corps we have had in years. The young guys are only going to get better. Buffalo is going to
Surprise some people this year. I bet they go 8-8
lolz…you can have him on that contract
Detroit only used Barnett for leverage on Tulloch and it worked.
Thanks for the heads up Packers fans. I don’t think Nick will regret this move.
Even though this is a tough division (as many in the NFL) Nix and Gailey are doing things the right way, it may or may not pan out but more often than not when you work hard it pays off and that is where we (fans) believe with this FO.
BREAKING NEWS! Bill’s Give Dave Wannstedt’s mustache a three year extension
good to see him land somewhere where he can make an impact. good for him
“God has blessed me once again to be part of a great organization.. Great coaches, Great staff, Great players and more importantly great fans,”

Umm……..I thought he signed with the Bills.
The only thing about that statement that is true is the last part.
The Catch 22 is that the intense loyalty of those fans is what allows Ralph Wilson to field that dreck of a team year after year with no fear of reprisal from his base.
Lol @ all the Lions fans talking trash. When was the last time your front office made the right decision? When was the last time you did anything relevant? Also, what was the score in last seasons meeting? Keep being the NFL’s laughing stock. Welcome to Buffalo, Nick. Classy fans and EXTREMELY passionate. You’ll love it there!
I like this
Although you do have to wonder why a team who had legitimate play off plans was interested in him.
Nothing against Buffalo – but lets be honest, no one’s laying 100 grand on them to win the SB this year in Vegas.
Nice! The Samauri Dance and the Lights Out Dance on the same team!
Hey, realitypolice, who’s your team?
So Bills are stupid for letting Poz walk, and now they’re stupid for signing, what most of you say, the same type of player? Huge win here, Barnett is a solid LB with experience in both schemes, he will help anchor this LB core. Shep, Barnett, Merriman, Moats, Kelsay, this LB corps is shaping up pretty good in year 2 of 3-4 D. I like the way things are looking, I see 8-8 on the horizon this year, which is a huge step in the right direction. Chan-ge is better after all.
