Anderson was the eighth overall pick in the final draft of former G.M. Rich McKay and the first (and last) draft for former coach Bobby Petrino. The pick was made amid a fresh controversy regarding the discovery of a dogfighting operation on Mike Vick’s rural property in Virginia.
