For the record, Heap was drafted three months AFTER the Ravens won the Superbowl. He does NOT have a ring. Shannon Sharpe was the Ravens TE when they won the ring.

Yes, he had injury issues, but when he was physically able, he showed up, played hard, and did exactly what he was supposed to. He’s always kept his nose clean and has character and work ethic. My only regret is that he did not retire as a Raven. There is a spot in the Ravens ROH for Todd when he retires. He will be sorely missed.

Todd Heap does not have a ring. Last year the ravens were all or nothing. The goal was to get Derrick Mason, Todd Heap, Ed Reed, Jarret Johnson, Matt Birk, and Kelly Greg the ring that they all want so badly and deserve. The Playoff Loss to pittsburgh hurt in so many ways because superbowl was the only option. The Team knew that they would never have the same group of guys in the locker room ever again, and were quoted saying that. Personally i felt cam cameron should of been fired. That team had the talent but the coaching held them back.

They are astutely picking up players to help complement Kolb and to give him as many weapons as possible. If the O-line holds up, Kolb could be very good in AZ. If they had been able to retain DRC, they would have been that much better off. They did sign Richard Marshall away from Carolina, and he will be a capable replacement, although not an improvement over DRC, IMO. Maybe Marshall will have a career year in a new setting, and gets to play in a great stadium for their home games.
