Saints guard Carl Nicks, ranked as the 55th best player in the NFL by his peers, has accepted his one-year tender offer as a restricted free agent.
Nicks, a three-year veteran, was tendered at the first-round level.
“I’m back,” Nicks said, per WWL.com. “I wanted to prove my worth, and maybe next year we can talk long term.”
A full-time starter since 2009, Nicks has appeared in all 48 games of his career, starting 45.
