Shaun O’Hara visits Dolphins

Longtime Giants center Shaun O’Hara visited the Miami Dolphins Sunday, according to the Miami Herald.

Adding O’Hara would give Miami options with rookie Mike Pouncey, not to mention a great mentor for Pouncey to learn from. Both O’Hara and Pouncey can play guard and center, so the Dolphins would have options for how they would want to use the pair. ¬†Pouncey played center at practice Sunday and looks likely to stay there.

There was some talk O’Hara could return to the Giants at a lesser price after being cut, but those plans appear to be on hold.

Miami also added defensive tackle Ronald Fields on Sunday.  Fields played for Dolphins coordinator Mike Nolan in Denver and San Francisco.

Look I have no problems with the Fins trying to improve the O line and the depth.

The problem is our head coach is in love with rotating offensive lineman even in the regular season.

For a coach who cut his teeth coaching the O line he shouldn’t have to be reminded that a stable unit is critical to continuity and success.

At least the Dolphins sign and draft offensive linemen. Don’t take that for granted. Watching Kory Lichtensteiger get turnstiled time and again is your alternative.
