Adding O’Hara would give Miami options with rookie Mike Pouncey, not to mention a great mentor for Pouncey to learn from. Both O’Hara and Pouncey can play guard and center, so the Dolphins would have options for how they would want to use the pair. Pouncey played center at practice Sunday and looks likely to stay there.
There was some talk O’Hara could return to the Giants at a lesser price after being cut, but those plans appear to be on hold.
Miami also added defensive tackle Ronald Fields on Sunday. Fields played for Dolphins coordinator Mike Nolan in Denver and San Francisco.
