He signed a $41 million contract for 6 years. He got a signon bonus on the front end, but technically the value of his contract is not 6 or 7 million for the next two years (combined) – but $6.83 million per season (or $13.67 million).

You have to take into consideration the signing bonus on the front end.

Giants are brilliant here. I would gladly trade him for a first round pick. However, if he wants to be traded, find someone who is willing to pay him and the Giants. If he can’t find anyone – then the Giants can tell him they tried – and he should shut up and play football.

How exactly did they do him wrong? For not caving in and extending an injury prone loudmouth who has been whining about a new contract multiple years prior to his current contract ending? You don’t want to play out the contract? Don’t sign it. He signed it, he needs to live with it. He also needs to realize he is not the best lineman on the team.

I think the Giants are just hoping that his temper tantrum will end, eventually. But the man signed a contract. No one held a gun to his head and forced him to sign it. He got a lot of guaranteed money up front, too, which he conveniently ignores now.

A man’s only as good as his word. If he doesn’t want to fulfill his end of the bargain, send him home.

I think it’s absurd people are saying Osi is absolutely not worth a 1st round pick… still, I think two 2nd round picks would be more than adequate.

Only time will tell for sure, but I’ll tell you right now; Osi is far more valuable that Kevin (media-made-man) Kolb.

My guess is Osi stays a Giants, or they get a 2nd and a 3rd.
