We can talk about how they will do, but moving to the Bengals doesn’t necessarily rule out success. Remember we won the AFC North (OBVIOUSLY not the pathetic division that the NFC West is…winner has a LOSING record??) two years ago with an undefeated division record. Palmer wasn’t a star that year and neither was Ochoidiot..they won with running game (Benson) and D. I’ll take my chances with Dalton (remember Matty Ice as a rookie) as he has a brain and has performed for several years in a trying situation. Again, I’m used to the abuse, but these are solid pickups for a team that is limited by Mikey boy Brown…whom I am convinced that Paul would disown! Would you rather have Andy Dalton or Alex Smith….wow give me Dalton and couple him with AJ Green on O! Again, I’ll take my chances vs Alex Smith.

This makes ZERO sense!

They drafted DE Michael Johnson 3 years ago, who is best suited for 3-4 OLB than anything else. They draft LB Dontay Moch, who is also best suited for OLB in the 3-4. They pick up Thomas Howard, who has always played LB in the 4-3, but would probably be loads better in the 3-4, and then they sign UDFA DE Keith Darbut, a collegiate DE (like Moch) who ran a sub 4.4 (like Moch) and was converted to LB.

I understand liking a certain type of player, but haven’t we seen from the Philadelphia pint-sized RB fiasco (L. McCoy, D. Lewis, D. Locke, C, Cooper—-leading to the walking out of N. Devine), that having different types of player will add to the team? This just makes no sense.

Not a mess at all. Thomas Howard replaces an injured Keith Rivers (wrist..out indefinitely) and Lawson starts in place of Maulaluga who moved to the middle. Another solid pick-up by the Bengals and one that was much needed. Watch out for Dontay Moch (rookie from Nevada) taking over by mid-season once he gets his feet wet in Zimmer’s system, which is probably why the Bengals only offered Manny a one year deal.
