I dont know where these packer fans come from. If I remember correctly atlanta and philly were picked 2 b the sb contenders last year. Its funny how all these packer fans are around now when everybody wrote them off after brett favre until last year in the playoffs. It kinda reminds me of sumthing oh yea wen ppl were fans of the bucs, panthers, seahawks, titans, raiders etc. what happened 2 them? Ohh no more room on bradys johnson huh. All u pack fans can have it u got 1 but I remeber wen rodgers was tha kolb of the nfl and NOBODY believed in him. And yall r probly frm a city wit a team u CANT support cuz they trash so u roll wit the winners. Y arent the pats, steelers, colts etc complaining? Have fun being eagles fans and eating ur words wen u jump on our bandwagon (if there is room left) p.s. they r just following the phillies business saavy who r the best team in baseball. Boston had it why cnt we? And all we did was make a good team better? Or did yall 4get u were underdogs in ALL ur playoff games? Or did u 4get we had 1 6-8 season since 2000? Ur just mad cuz yall dnt have the better d-fense 2 save u this time. And a HEALTHY vick put up 24 points in 1 and 1/2 qtrs on yall. Sounds like the champs r tryna duck the title fight already. U barely beat us last year wit a rookie d, now we have the same o wit a beast d that yall r scared of. Every team on our schedule is just concerned with watchin our gamefilm. While we watch wat went wrong last season ( lets not talk about those 2 fgs)

"Philly’s adding 15 guys to try and win a SB, Green Bay LOST 15 guys (via IR) last year and won a SB. With respect (because I like the Pack a lot as a team):

What was the injury situation the year before? Were there 15 IR'ed players when the Cardinals torched the Pack in the first round of the playoffs?

Also, if GB didn't have an *interest* in Nnamdi Asomugha, everyone in your FO should be immediately fired. Not being able to get him/not really needing him and not being interested are two totally different things.

"...ESPN is now reporting that Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, Rod Woodson, Jerry Rice, Mike Singletary, Bruce Smith, and Lawrence Taylor are all considering coming out of retirement for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play for the Eagles."

Don't forget about Tommy McD, Brookshier, and Chuck Bednarik. Andy is gonna make real magic happen to get 'ol Chuck "up and running."

And, it would be great if the Giants brought back Gifford to face him.

Just one more time...

about the SB- yup, we dont have 1. Yup…. all the Championships nolonger count. I for one am already tired of hearing us (myself included) talk- But….. lets be honest. You wish you were us right now. This is going to be a great season. Players WANT to play here.

*******************************************

Maybe maybe not. But I'm willing to guess that guys looking for a place to play would also love to play for Green Bay - IF they were looking.

Just because Philly signs player X doesn't mean that player X chose Philly over all else. If the a team like the Packers made a run at some of these FA's - don't you think they'd garner a touch more interest with some of these guys?

No doubt, the Eagles have really been active and picked up some great talent. It is obvious the front office understands the rules.

With that being said, after all these moves, and now with this "Dream Team" moniker started (kind of reminds me of "Gold Standard"!), IF they don't at least get to the Super Bowl this year, the fans may burn the town down. And they would probably be justified. The pressure seems to be on the Eagles' players and coaches to either get the job done or face the consequences from both top management and fans.

desean needs to understand that the FA frenzy had to be resolved first. It didn't last too long. Now the Eagles know where they stand.

Vick is on for like 16M. they can reduce that this year with a longterm contract. lets say... 10M with 30 guarantee. that leaves 6m this year for him.

He needs to go work with the team and relax. His time will come.

As a Packer fan, Cullen is a great talent(i think he is underrated). However, much like Vick, he cannot seem to make through a season healthy, plus he is over 30.

And he's far better as a DE in 3-4 than he is as a DT in a 4-3.

The only marquee name they signed is Nmandi, everyone else is either aging or a castoff for another reason.

DRC--mental mistakes, gave up too many big plays so AZ did not hesitate to ship him off. Babin is a journeyman with one good year, Brown is injury prone and about to be a 30 year old RB.

Nope, I sure don't. I think you got that backwards. The whole FA spending spree is about the Eagles wishing they were someone else.

Sounds like the Eagles come apart after this season.

If they win it all, lots of one year guys are going to want to cash in.

If they don’t the guys are gone anyway. Vick and Jackson will command top money. Particularly Jackson who does not feel that his interest have been a priority.

Chemistry will be an issue to content with throughout the year. Fun to watch and no more than 50/50 chance of success.

Washington 2.0. Check out their Dream Team year of 2000

You really don't pay attention do you?

Vick and Jackson will get done well before next off-season, so that isn't a worry.

The 1 year guys are what they are..... Fillers. The front office knows that. They also know that if those guys are productive that they can extend them midyear. The Eagles FO is known for doing things like that. If the fillers don't work out, it makes it easy for them to go away.

I'll take a 50/50 shot at the Super Bowl any year. I'd say that's a little better than 1/32.

LOL i love the whole “best run franchise” in the league statement. How many titles do they have?? Ah the Eagle fan base one minute Banner is a moron the next he is a genius lol. Good for them though with trying to go “all in”.

We have three titles--1947, 1948, and 1960. People forget that the NFL didn't start in 1967 when they started calling the championship game the Super Bowl.

The eagles have some of if not the smartest cap guys in the league.

Yeah…and they have possibly the dumbest coach in the league as well.

They’ll fail in the end….its just a matter of how they go about it.

Yea Andy Reid is such a horrible coach, must be all of those winning seasons that he had.
Yes, he doesnt have a ring with the eagles but how many coaches actually do have a ring in this league...not many.

ESPN is now reporting that Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, Rod Woodson, Jerry Rice, Mike Singletary, Bruce Smith, and Lawrence Taylor are all considering coming out of retirement for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play for the Eagles
--------------------------------------------------------
You post is sorta of funny... but in reality it misses the point.

The Eagles are not hiring all timers. They are stacking up young proven talent. Ronnie Brown is the only FA signed by the Eagles -1 year contrat-that has a longer history in the NFL.

The 'Dream Team'?... Let's not get carried away. How about, arguably, the best -on paper- team in for the 2011-2012 season.

So let's wait and see what happens in about... 4 months!!
