THE BEARS are the Best team in football you kiiding me. It’d be biggest thing in this guys life to wear the Bear uniform. We were one play away from a superbowl you fans have no clue whats going on in the NFL if you dont see the Bears as being a top team.. We have only gotten better. We went up and down on Green Bay with our 3rd string Qb and GB had a bout 5 yards that game in the second half and more help from the refs than I seen all year. OPEN YOUR EYES…ITS NOT HARD TO SEE WHOS TOPS IN THE LEAGUE..Also we have most wins in the history of the game..Just to let you know

@number1hawkfan… Where are you hanging out that you see Seattle fans whining about all the moves? Seattle fans are ecstatic about most of the moves this offseason. PC and Shneider are digging us out of the gaping hell hole that Ruskell put us in and any Seahawk fan I’ve seen is completely thrilled about it.

Another reason to believe in Pete Carrol. Sick of hearing idiot seattle fans whining about all the moves this year. If Tatupa had anything left he’d still be in Seattle. P.S. Tavarius Jackson is a bridge to our next QB while the O-line and rest of the team gets built.

Tim Ruskell stunk it up in Seattle and it looks like he is going to leave a stentch in Chi-town…this front office is a joke O-line has went from bad to worse…no back up QB…3rd string WR picked up to be there number 1 WR…but they are vesting there interest in blowing money on an downhill MLB for back up??? how do these people get jobs in high places…7-9

Da’ Bears reportedly still have $20 mil in cap space left. They can sign Tatupu, find an interior offensive lineman, and still have enough to pave the end zone at Soldier Field in gold.

I think the front office knows, even if Lovie and Martz are in denial, that the offense is going to be horrid again. To counteract that they need to sign as many defensive studs as they can…. unfortunately, all they’ve managed to bring in are busts (who may turn it around in Chicago) and rookies.

I was so freaking optimistic just a week ago. I should have known better.

He should have taken the pay cut from the Seahawks and kept his starting job. If he holds up physically this year, he would have gotten another deal next year. I would bet he is pretty close to the end of his career, however.

I can understand their interest, but at some point this team just has to invest in offensive linemen. Don’t they? If he signs, it could be a great insurance policy. But I wouldn’t fork over anymore than backup money for him.

Huh? This one is odd? Why would Tatupu go there? I’m not sure I really love the idea of Tatupu as a SAM backer covering TE’s either. If Tatupu can’t find a starting MIKE job in a 4-3, he should try and find a team that may use him inside in a 3-4, where questions about his ability in space would be less significant.

As a side note, I noted this on another Bears post. Tice wants J’Marcus Webb at LT, and after his job last year coaching up that group, he’ll be given every chance to have Webb at LT. Omiyale likely kicks inside to guard, but he’ll likely also be the backup LT option. Carimi’s set at RT, and Garza’s solid at one guard spot.

I’m not saying this is a good line. J’Marcus Webb had horrible grades at RT in pass pro from profootballfocus. Omiyale should fare better inside than outside. Carimi is an unknown, although most anticipate he’ll be fine.

What I think, though, is that the Bears are more liable to pursue someone on the inside. That said, with Spencer/Garza/Omiyale/Chris Williams, along with three youngsters Tice likes (Asiata/Edwin Williams/Lance Louis), plus having backup options at OT in former OT’s Omiyale and Chris Williams, I’m not sold that they are going to pursue the OL that heavily. If a guy comes cheap, perhaps.

Only time will tell.

I would think the Ravens would love to have him beside Ray, but with the cap situation here in Baltimore it doesn’t seem possible. Ellerbe and Co. aren’t the answer.

He’s a big injury risk at this point, coming off double knee surgery and missed most of the 2009 season as well. Not sure how he’d translate to the 3-4, but I wouldn’t mind the Packers taking a low-cost flier on him to bolster their inside linebacker group, which is pretty thin after losing Barnett, Poppinga, and Chillar.
