Can’t really compare Asomugha to the likes of this Elam kid. Plus Eagle didn’t hire A raiders coach. And Asomugha was one of the few bright spots of the Raiders, Elam? I think of a kicker when I hear that name, not a game changer DB.

Your article this week says the ‘Boys are around $3.7 million over the salary cap.

This puts them roughly $5 million over (assuming he’s bumping someone else out of the top 51 who was earning something near the veteran minimum, and assuming that your numbers were right).

They’ve got some work to do by tomorrow.

We will take what we get, I really wanted Dashon Goldson at FS though. Elam was originally a Cboy, then a Jet, followed Mangini to Cleveland and now has follow Rob Ryan back down to Dallas. So it does speak to the fact that his coaches value him, and take him with them.

they wont be battling for playing time, Elam will play FS, Sensabaugh will play SS.

Nice move, the guy isn’t great, he’s an average FS, but still a huge upgrade over Alan Ball, and he knows Ryans defense, so he will be well equipped to make the calls in the secondary.
