Why don’t you show me touches and career YPA. You know the 5.3 career yards per touch? Or how bout the 450 yards receiving he had last year with a 9 and a half YPC with 48 catches on the season? When Felix was the back up for most of his career so far, and Barber was always the Goal line back. Don’t be ignorant, those stats don’t tell the whole truth and you know it.

Jenkins still went to the probowl…it’s not like they pick someone at random to take an injured players place.

As a Cowboys fan I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but Felix hasn't proven much.

We'll agree to disagree, but if you took a poll, based on stats and even the intangibles, how many of the nine RBs I listed would people take over Felix right now?

I'd say the over/under is at 6........

With regards to the Snyder term I related to the Eagles, Snyder signs high profile players with the hopes of winning the SB, and we all know how the results have turned out for him. Now, this year, the Eagles with their cap space have done the same thing. I never said they overpaid for anybody, but many others have. I don't believe they "overpaid" for Nnamdi (which I have already stated) as long as he produces commensurate with his pay, and the belief is that he will. Again, they had Samuel and DRC at CB before they went out and got Nnamdi, so was he a necessity, or a luxury? You know it is the latter. I agree that the Eagles have been smart about their spending, but picking up as many players as you can, which includes the high-profile players in order to make a SB run is EXACTLY what Snyder has been doing unsuccessfully for a long time. You can't deny the similarities, even though you have tried and failed.

As far as Dallas managing the cap, yes, they were over the new cap instituted in the CBA, like MANY other teams. They cut players, restructured contracts, and guess what - the Cowboys will be under the cap once the season starts. Easy enough to clear that one up. Allow the results of the season to talk, and not your mouth.

"The Eagles have been the cream of the crop in the NFC since Andy Reid and our management staff have been in tenure. There is NO better team, not just in the division, but in the entire NFC over the last 13 years."
-------------------------------------------------------------
Since winning the SB is the true measure of a team in this league, what you said about the cream of the crop sounded like this blahh blah blah and blah blah blah blah blah over the last 13 years. The Bills were the Cream of the Crop in the AFC 4 years running, were the AFC Champions 4 years running, and LOST the SB 4 years in a row. LOSING THE SB is what they are remembered for, NOT being the cream of the crop in the AFC. And btw, any NFC Team that won the SB in the last 13 years would be the cream of the crop in the NFC - PERIOD.

"Do you really think the Cowboys are going to announce to the world that NNamdi just slapped them in the face and took less money to play for a real contender?"
________________________________

The Cowboys didn't "announce" that they dropped out of the race, that was Rotoworld that announced it, along with the Jets dropping out. Can you tell me WHERE it was stated the Cowboys (or any other team) were offering more $ for Asomugha than the Eagles? None of this matters anyway, unless your Eagles win the SB. Bring it.

"And EVERY YEAR, you’re team is the talk of the national media and doesn’t do crap".

What the media talks about is not in my control. It is based on hype and expectations. Now your Eagles get the weight of the National Media with the "dream team" label on them. Have fun carrying that load and let me know what that is like having that added pressure and expectations, much like the Cowboys have on them every year. Now it is the Eagles turn to bear that cross, and guess what - it is GREAT. the rest of the NFC East teams can now fly under the radar due to it.

What the point is, and what this all boils down to is WINNING A SB. That is the point, and the goal in this league. Until your Eagles achieve it, stop talking about. Don't sing it, BRING IT. Hoisting a SB trophy is the only time you are going to get full credit in this league - Look at the Saints. SO bad for SO long, and they now have that SB title and a solid team. They trump your organization because of that SB WIN, NO MATTER HOW MANY PLAYOFF GAMES your Eagles have been in. You don't have to like it, but it is what it is.

Even during last year's dreadful season, the Cowboys still split the season series with all three NFC East opponents.

I expect them to do at least the same this year, regardless of Newman's injury.

And let's not forget they were 3-0 versus Philadelphia in 2009, including a 34-14 playoff victory.

Umm…scandrick and jenkins both ahd good rookie seasons. Every single thing I have read about Jenkins vs. Dez has said that they are going back and forth and both are looking great ( I can post sources if you need it) Nickel corners are very important, and prove to me that Felix Jones is a bust….you can’t.

Since the 2008 Draft………

Felix Jones: 36-games, 1,751-yds, 7TDs

RBs taken BEFORE Felix:
D. McFadden: 38-games, 2,201-yds, 12TDs
J. Stewart: 46-games, 2,739-yds, 22TDs

RBs taken AFTER Felix:
R. Mendenhall: 36-games, 2,439-yds, 20TDs
C. Johnson: 47-games, 4,598-yds, 34TDs
M. Forte: 48-games, 3,236-yds, 18TDs
R. Rice: 45-games, 3,013-yds, 12TDs
K. Smith: 35-games, 1,856-yds, 12TDs
S. Slaton: 39-games, 1,812-yds, 12TDs
J. Charles: 47-games, 2,944-yds, 12TDs

Still want to tell me Felix ISN’T A BUST!?!?!?

And, Mike Jenkins’ rookie year was anything but good……at least I haven’t forgotten his performance at the Meadowlands and his “business decision” not to tackle. And who could forget about the playoff game against Minny in ’09 when Sidney Rice embarassed him.

And as for the Pro-Bowl that year? He was an injury replacement that year for Antoine Winfield.

-------------------------------------------------

Why don't you show me touches and career YPA. You know the 5.3 career yards per touch? Or how bout the 450 yards receiving he had last year with a 9 and a half YPC with 48 catches on the season? When Felix was the back up for most of his career so far, and Barber was always the Goal line back. Don't be ignorant, those stats don't tell the whole truth and you know it.

jsrdc, please provide factual examples of how the Eagles and the Redskins are similar and how Daniel Snyder and his piss more management techniques are similar to that of the Eagles management team.

YOU CAN’T! They are nothing alike!

Bottom line, you’re team can’t manage it’s cap, and the Eagles can. You’re bitter because your team is over the cap and ours just orchestrated the most amazing display of signings and cap management in the history of the league.

EVERY YEAR, the Eagles are one of the best teams in the league at managing the cap. It just so happens that this year was the perfect storm, we capitalized, and you couldn’t.

And EVERY YEAR, you’re team is the talk of the national media and doesn’t do crap.

And stop it with this nonsense that the Cowboys and Jets backed out of the Nnamdi sweepstakes. That’s not what happened. I don’t care what your cute little article and the good ole’ boys in the Dallas local media tell you to make you feel better so that you don’t cry yourselves to sleep at night.

Do you really think the Cowboys are going to announce to the world that NNamdi just slapped them in the face and took less money to play for a real contender?

It just so happens that as soon as the Cowgirls and Jets “dropped out”, NNamdi signed with the Eagles right?

Why would a team “drop out” that is offering more money than all of the other teams? Stop being simple, it’s embarrassing.

OF COURSE, they are going to tell everyone they dropped out! They don’t want to embarrass themselves!

Have fun struggling to battle the other 12 mediocre teams in the NFC for a wild card spot.

Every single thing I have read about Jenkins vs. Dez has said that they are going back and forth and both are looking great ( I can post sources if you need it) Nickel corners are very important, and prove to me that Felix Jones is a bust….you can’t.

And, Mike Jenkins' rookie year was anything but good......at least I haven't forgotten his performance at the Meadowlands and his "business decision" not to tackle. And who could forget about the playoff game against Minny in '09 when Sidney Rice embarassed him.

Hey Iggles fans, you might want to stop crowing about your boy DJack. He has the highest drop rate of any receiver with at least 30 targets last year (hat tip: football outsiders). Brad302,

Maybe it’s just that you can’t read. Nobody is saying the Cowboys weren’t interested in Nnamdi. What happened is at the end, and I quote according to Bleacher Report, BOTH the JETS and COWBOYS DROPPED OUT of the competition for him. The Cowboys were always interested, and the need was there, unlike for the Eagles, where they had Samuel AND DRC before they acquired Samuel. I don’t think the Eagles overpaid for Nnamdi, but he was a luxury, not a necessity. The Eagles are “all-in” in their bid for the SB, hence the “buying the SB” talk. Have fun playing the Snyder role and not having anything to show for it. And please don’t think Cowboy fans, or any other fans for that matter, will let you live it down without reminding you of it.

---------------------------------------------------

jsrdc, please provide factual examples of how the Eagles and the Redskins are similar and how Daniel Snyder and his piss more management techniques are similar to that of the Eagles management team.

YOU CAN'T! They are nothing alike!

Bottom line, you're team can't manage it's cap, and the Eagles can. You're bitter because your team is over the cap and ours just orchestrated the most amazing display of signings and cap management in the history of the league.

EVERY YEAR, the Eagles are one of the best teams in the league at managing the cap. It just so happens that this year was the perfect storm, we capitalized, and you couldn't.

And EVERY YEAR, you're team is the talk of the national media and doesn't do crap.

The Eagles have been the cream of the crop in the NFC since Andy Reid and our management staff have been in tenure. There is NO better team, not just in the division, but in the entire NFC over the last 13 years.

And stop it with this nonsense that the Cowboys and Jets backed out of the Nnamdi sweepstakes. That's not what happened. I don't care what your cute little article and the good ole' boys in the Dallas local media tell you to make you feel better so that you don't cry yourselves to sleep at night.

Do you really think the Cowboys are going to announce to the world that NNamdi just slapped them in the face and took less money to play for a real contender?

It just so happens that as soon as the Cowgirls and Jets "dropped out", NNamdi signed with the Eagles right?

Why would a team "drop out" that is offering more money than all of the other teams? Stop being simple, it's embarrassing.

OF COURSE, they are going to tell everyone they dropped out! They don't want to embarrass themselves!

Have fun struggling to battle the other 12 mediocre teams in the NFC for a wild card spot.

Since they are over the cap, they offered Nnamdi a 5 year, negative $9m contract. For some reason, he didn't accept.

Don’t worry guys he’ll be there to shut Desean Jackson down as always :-)

IF Jackson ever makes it to camp.

Melontard you are easily THE WORST homer and the biggest hater I have ever encountered in my entire life.

Jerry Jones himself could tell you that the Cowgirls suck, and you wouldn't believe it.

Terrance Newman shutting down Desean Jackson? Just like THE ELITE NFC EAST RECEIVERS Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, Mario Manningham, and Hakeem Nicks are going to destroy Nnamdi right?

Why is it that everyone, including your fellow Cowgirl fans, can see that Terrance Newman is washed up, but you can't?

You never have anything even slightly substantive to offer and you are truly delusional.

I've said all along that the biggest problem with keeping Jenkins and Newman was that Jenkins has a 2:1 bad year to good year ratio, while Newman has struggled to stay healthy in recent years and is only getting older. Its a shame to see him go down this early, but hopefully he can rest up and may be be a little more physically ready for the start of the season.

As for Eagle's fans who want to rag on this particular set of CB's. Please keep in mind that your precious WR duo has a grand total of 1 TD against them in 3 years. 8 games played between the 2 WRs....1 TD.
In fact 8 catches, 113 yards for Maclin in 3 games played vs. the Cowboys.
16 catches, 331 yards, 1 TD for Jackson in 5 games vs. the Cowboys (4 rec, 210 and a TD came from one game. so 12 rec, 121 yards, 0 TD in the 4 previous games)

Jenkins and Scandrick were both drafted in 2008. Jenkins was in the pro bowl in ’09 and Scandrick is an up-and-comer at nickel. Josh Thomas was drafted this year. Either you haven’t been paying attention or you only respect big names.
___________________________________

Thanks. Been paying attention for a while. Since about 1975.

First, the Pro-Bowl means nothing now.

Jenkins has had ONE decent year and TWO absolutely atrocious years and if he doesn’t step up (and by all accounts from training camp, Dez has turned him into a pylon), he’s a complete BUST.

And, the bus station is full of up-and-coming nickel corners. Scandrick at one time was expected to challenge as a starter and hasn’t. Apologies, but up-and-coming nickel corners don’t get me overly excited because that means, they’re not good enough to start.

Based on the performance of the Dallas secondary in the past 3 years and especially of Scandrick and Jenkins, I stand by my statement that not only has cornerback been neglected, but the entire secondary has been ignored while Jerruh and “Junior” have been playing fantasy football with guys like Felix Jones (another bust).
--------------------------------------------------

Umm...scandrick and jenkins both ahd good rookie seasons. Every single thing I have read about Jenkins vs. Dez has said that they are going back and forth and both are looking great ( I can post sources if you need it) Nickel corners are very important, and prove to me that Felix Jones is a bust....you can't.

There are still CB's out there that can be picked up to for depth if need be. You are going to see a LOT of injuries in this very short training camp session. This unfortunately is to be expected, and NO TEAM will be immune from this. You can never predict these things.

Kmurph, and any other Eagle fan who are obviously haters, the Cowboys are hardly screwed. Newman could easily be back for the start of the season in 5 weeks. He will rest this, and he will be back. Wait until one of your key players gets hurt, and I would LOVE to see what your reasoning will be when it is a home team player.

I don’t know why anybody thinks the Cowboys were serious about Asomugha. They said back in June that they’d never be able to give him the type of contract that he’d want and they said the other day that they took themselves out of any serious discussions when his agent told them the ballpark they’d have to get into. $12 million per season is NOT a discount, people. No way the Cowboys could pay him that. He signed with the Eagles because they were offering the most money, period.

================================

so the cowboys didnt want Asomuah for 12 million but they want T NEwmann for 8 million?!? you are a clown melonhead..

Rob Ryan can talk all he wants but wade phillips beat the ass of the eagles like 5 of the last 7 games we played .. Eagles have struggled against Dallas for a few years now.. Dallas always plays us hard

... as for people saying that the eagles WR are a joke after D-JAX .. your crazy.. Maclin is a better WR than D-Jax just doesnt have the fastest legs in the league like D Jax does.. if i had to only have one of these recievers id take Maclin...

Jerry Jones is def a good Owner…but he needs to give up the Title of GM…He needs to bring in somebody whos willing to part ways with players and who has no emotional ties to the players.

Ive lived in Washington DC my whole life and thats why the Skins suck so bad they had a GM who kept or brought in players that were well past their prime and kept players who should have been cut.

You have to know when to let Players go.Im just glad we are able to talk about Football..

--------------------------------------------------

You're right, it's the whole better a year too soon than a year too late, unfortuantely we're usually on the bad end of that.

One good thing is, Garrett seems to be in more control than any coach before him with out the initials JJ and Stephen Jones is starting to gain a lot of influence, which is a real good thing (see: Stephen almost Punching Jerry for signing Deion back in the day)

We agree on one thing though, at least I dont have to hear the word Lockout anymore

Jenkins and Scandrick were both drafted in 2008. Jenkins was in the pro bowl in ’09 and Scandrick is an up-and-comer at nickel. Josh Thomas was drafted this year. Either you haven’t been paying attention or you only respect big names.

Thanks. Been paying attention for a while. Since about 1975.

First, the Pro-Bowl means nothing now.

Jenkins has had ONE decent year and TWO absolutely atrocious years and if he doesn't step up (and by all accounts from training camp, Dez has turned him into a pylon), he's a complete BUST.

And, the bus station is full of up-and-coming nickel corners. Scandrick at one time was expected to challenge as a starter and hasn't. Apologies, but up-and-coming nickel corners don't get me overly excited because that means, they're not good enough to start.

Based on the performance of the Dallas secondary in the past 3 years and especially of Scandrick and Jenkins, I stand by my statement that not only has cornerback been neglected, but the entire secondary has been ignored while Jerruh and "Junior" have been playing fantasy football with guys like Felix Jones (another bust).
