The Jets are looking into picking up another well-known veteran wide receiver.

Former Ravens receiver Derrick Mason is scheduled to visit the Jets today, according to CBS Sports and 105.7 The Fan (via the Baltimore Sun.)

The Ravens released Mason last week but said they’d be interested in signing him at a lower price.

With the Jets, Mason would join Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress as the Mark Sanchez’s receivers.

The 37-year-old Mason is the Ravens’ all-time franchise leader in catches and yards. He and Jets coach Rex Ryan know each other well from their time together in Baltimore.
