Less than one week after free agency officially started, only 12 of our original top 80 free agents are still available.

One of them -- Ricky Williams -- hasn’t been tied to any teams out there. His agent Drew Rosenhaus said on WQAM Thursday that Williams may wait for an injury elsewhere to pick a team. There’s at least a chance he won’t even get a job.

That got us thinking: Who else is out there? A quick, incomplete list of some notable names:

Braylon Edwards: He’s visiting the 49ers and has been tied to the Cardinals. It looks like he’ll have to settle for a one-year contract.

Clinton Portis: We’re starting to think he’s played his last snap.

Shaun Ellis: The Jets offered him the veteran’s minimum for him to return.

Matt Roth: He worked out for the Patriots, but hasn’t received the big offers he expected.

Steve Smith, Kevin Boss: The two Giants draft picks haven’t received a lot of buzz. Boss worked out for the Raiders. Smith may not be healthy until mid-season, so the quiet market for him isn’t a huge shock.

Jared Gaither: It appeared he had a deal worked out with the Raiders, but it appears they balked after his physical.

Malcom Floyd: His decision is expected shortly. The Ravens are in the mix.

Kirk Morrison: The Jaguars spent big to replace Morrison, leaving him without a job.

Mark Clayton: He was expected to return to the Rams, but Mike Sims-Walker may have taken his job.

Terrell Owens: We’d be shocked if he got a deal before Week One while recovering from a torn ACL.

Andre Carter: A double digit sack guy not so long ago.

Brodie Croyle: We must be the only ones that think Croyle would make a fine backup.

Tiki Barber: His tryout for the Dolphins was the first sniff Barber got for a job.
