APWith Malcom Floyd returning to San Diego, the rest of the veteran wide receiver dominoes look ready to fall.
Derrick Mason is wanted by the Titans, Ravens, and Jets. Rex Ryan said Friday that Mason would probably have to take less money to play with the Jets, presumably because of cap room.
The Titans also have Mason atop their wish list. Mason lives in Nashville, but Tennessee is making sure they have their bases covered so they contacted Jerricho Cotchery on Friday, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.
The Ravens wanted Floyd. While Cotchery has a different skill set, perhaps they’ll show interest in him too.

cause they have no faith in Kenny Britt
The Titans needed to keep Vince Young, headcase & all.
The Titans are interested in adding a Wide Receiver?
That’s as ridiculous as suggesting the Dolphins are interested in acquiring a QB.
Seriously the last time they had a 1,000 yard receiver, Billy Volek led them in passing.
Look it up.
The Jets had $8M in cap space as of Thursday’s PFT post. Why are they not spending money?
atleast him and hasselback can ice each others backs when theyre both on the injured reserve.
next post will say “Eagles sign the Titans”
The Titans are their empty trophy case. Have you ever heard of six? lololol
The Jets are in deep poo if they fail to acquire Mason.
With him, they’ve got a guy who costs less and is healthier than Cotchery, all with likely stronger production. He’s also Plax insurance and could step up to be the #2 receiver even if Burress performs at a high level.
Without him, they have to pray Plax can be his old self and fall back on Dustin Keller.
They dodged a bullet when Cromartie resigned. There’s nearly as much on the line for New York in this scenario.
mason can show britt how to be a man
Now they want a receiver???? Never had one for Vince to throw to. Why now when you don’t have a QB?
LOL @ the Vince comments. He had Britt and Moss and never threw to either. Could never see past Bo or Nate. Although he did lead Gage into some backbreakers in midfield. Thank god VY and his “legendary lack of work ethic” is elsewhere..
Mr. Crotchery is nothing more than a hyped up JJ Stokes.
Something tells me the Titans won’t be outbid for Mason–losing him the first time was a defining mistake they’re STILL paying for. Will he take less money for a clearer Super Bowl shot? To Derrick I say this: Wouldn’t your Hall of Fame worthy stats look even better if you were not only the Ravens’ career receiving leader, but you moved from 2nd to 1st on the Titans’ receiving record list?

He needs roughly 1800 yards to pass Ernest Givens.
That could take 3 seasons for him on a team with a stable QB situation.

despite the health problems with cotch, and the floyd retention, i still wanna see rivers reunited with jericho
Crotcher will be a cowboy or brown
