buffaloniner, You make good points but I'll tell you this, I'm 30 yrs old and I can say with total confidence that T.O is the best WR of my generation. You may not like it and you don't have to, but we both know it's true. Glad we could agree on something

uffaloniner, not a very smart comment there bub. Some coach on the Eagles staff was in the locker room running his mouth about T.O and he was unaware that T.O was in the other room hearing it all. When T.O came in to confront him (wouldn’t you do the same?) the coach, not sure what his name is but he’s gone now anyway, took it to the next level and punches were thrown. Thats contesting a disrespectful coach, not “challenging and entire locker room”. And as far as “Tearing apart every team that he’s played for, unlike most people these days he actually fulfilled his contract in SF and then wanted out, that ship was sinking and he didn’t want to be in it and I can’t blame him. In Philly he out performed his contract and wanted a new one, they dropped the ball on it so he left. Look at Desean Jackson now, and Chris Johnson. Josh Cribbs etc, all the same but the Eagles just wanted him to bust his ass and play for practically nothing. The Cowboys, in his three years there he put up 3,587 yds and 38 TD’s. More productive in those three years than any other WR in the NFL. Buffalo, best WR they’ve had in years despite being thrown to by Brian freaking Brohm at one point, but I guess he ripped that locker room apart too right? The Bengals, the team crumbled around him and Ced Ben. Now Ocho is gone and Carson retired early and none of that had to do with Mike Brown being an idiot right? Nooo It was all T.O’s fault wasn’t it? Check up on your facts before you start running your mouth

@ 4512dawg4512, Your rundown of the situation not only proves my point but is a bit inaccurate. He LITERALLY did challenged everybody else in the locker room to fight him after going to blows with a coach because he didn't like what the coach was saying about him. Sounds like a class act. That is definitely and act to be admired, I see why you're defending it ... O_o... I think you are the one that needs to check your facts "bub". You also seem to be having a hard time remembering all the other fights and drama he caused within the organizations, particularly regarding his QBs (Garcia, Mcnabb, etc.) and the reason he left the Eagles was not just due to them not giving him a new contract (apparently divas struggle to live on $49 million) it was because he was suspended and then completely deactivated for the team for causing too many problems. Remember now? Good. My comment had nothing to do with his playing ability or production. Although he's declined quite a bit in recent years and I also think he now looks pretty damn lazy on the field, at one point he was one of the greatest players and definitely a future hall of famer, but the problems he has caused distract quite a bit from how good he was. Don't worry about your ignorance regarding the situation. It's ok because I can tell that you just weren't aware of the messes he's gotten into. Ask a football fan. They'll tell ya about it.

Terell Owens has never gotten into a hint of trouble?? are you kidding me? What sport have you been following? T.O. has caused more trouble than any any other player I can even think of. The man has torn every team he played for apart from the inside out with all the "trouble" he caused. He challenged the entire locker room to a fight in Philly and actually physically brawled with his own TEAMMATES! Just because the cops didn't get involved this is somehow classified as staying out of trouble? I don't think so. Edwards has made some pretty dumb moves off the feild but as far as I know, his trouble has only affected himself and not his entire team, like T.O. Braylon's comment that he does not want to be known as the next T.O. does absolutely nothing to prove that he does not "get it". In fact it shows the complete opposite. It shows growth and a desire to not want to cause issues with his team.

Hey, like Bryant he'll have to play with Alex Smith and that will really hurt his 90 catch stat-based financial incentives!!!

Is the number #81 cursed?

I think another player came to the 49ers and was compared to T.O. (when given #81) and had to say he wasn't the next T.O. Then Jason Avant on the Eagles. Then Moss when he went to the Pats. Whats the deal?

I guess when you make a name for yourself for one bad season, it sticks with you forever. I don't by any means think of Braylon as a savior for the 49ers, but he does add some much needed help to the receiving corps. I would've much rather had them snag Malcolm Floyd from San Diego, but for no guaranteed upfront money? That is an incredible win/win situation for the team. He only gets paid big if he gets 90 catches and makes the pro bowl. What I forsee is a player with some motivation to go out and give it his all this season, and who knows, we may finally see him live up to his potential (he is afterall, a freakish athlete and was does have some great talent) Worst case scenario? He gets in trouble or doesn't produce at all and the 9ers have barely lost a dime. I like those odds.

Oh, and for all you Braylon "drop" Edwards sayers or those saying he can't catch a cold, did any of you look at his stats from last year? I believe he only had 1 single drop!
