This just doesn’t make sense, Mike. Money is not a problem for a guy who made like $30 million over the last 3 years. Moss wants a Super Bowl ring. Arizona has done a pretty good job rebuilding the team but they’re probably not a Super Bowl contender. Also, Kolb does not have a great deep ball. How does it make any sense for a guy with a so-so deep ball to be throwing to the best deep threat in NFL history? If Moss reportedly turned down offers from the Colts and Eagles, then how would the Cardinals make more sense

1. Just to reiterate… Fitz can be wearing a cornerback blanket and if the QB is accurate enough (like Warner, hopefully Kolb) he will still catch the ball.

2. in Moss’s case his tactic was to lull the CB to sleep by acting like he’s quit and dogging it. The one time the CB falls for it he’s looking at Moss in the endzone with the Ball.

3. Moss may come out and play in November if a team that he fits with and is bound for a Playoff berth has a need caused by injury.

I can see Moss in AZ. Moss has an ego, maybe an ego problem, and playing third WR for the Eagles or the Jets probably didn’t sound too good to him. But on an AZ team where he can legitimately have a chance to be the #2 guy, on a team that will throw a ton if Kolb is the QB they think he is, and run loads of 3 and 4 WR sets it just makes a lot more sense for his ego. More chances to be the man. Not to mention AZ made some great moves to get back to the top of the weakest division in football. I wouldn’t dismiss this until the season is over and Moss hasn’t suited up.

Kolb might actually have a decent season if he was throwing to Fitzgerald and Moss. The move makes a lot of sense to me.

Would be a nightmare for Kolb. I think he’s going to be a solid QB in this league, but I’ve watched every snap he’s taken (regular & pre-season) and he’s got NO ARM. Every time we went deep to Jackson he had to slow down, and left you holding your breath. He has one of the most accurate arms in the NFL, but his arm strength is poor. A WR like Fitzgerald is perfect for him, but Moss would blow-up if he actually ran a deep route, got open, and Kolb couldn’t make the throw. Not want you want for a young QB.
