No word yet on Adrian Wilson, Michael Adams set for arthroscopic knee surgery

A day after reports surfaced that Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson may have suffered a serious bicep or elbow injury, there’s no word yet on Wilson’s exact condition. But another member of the Cardinals’ safety is preparing for arthroscopic knee surgery.

Cardinals cornerback Michael Adams will have an arthroscopic procedure on his knee, Darren Urban of the team’s web site writes.

We don’t know how long Adams will be out, but he could be back by the start of the regular season. Adams played in all 16 games for the Cardinals last year, starting four.

As for Wilson, the team is expected to give an update on his condition on Monday. Wilson wrote this on Twitter Sunday: “Cardinal Fans just be patient and believe in the impossible.. #teamwilson I will never give up on this TEAM ever!!!”

So Wilson is staying optimistic. But the fact that he wants fans to “believe in the impossible” suggests that his injury is a significant one.
