Texans sign Tim Dobbins

With Brian Cushing out due to injury and the Texans generally hoping to get better on defense, they’ve added a five-year veteran linebacker to the roster.

The team has announced that Tim Dobbins has signed with the team.

Dobbins appeared in 16 games for the Dolphins in 2010, starting six.  Dobbins spent the four prior seasons with the Chargers, appearing in 62 games and starting 10.  His rookie season coincided with Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips final year in that same position with the Chargers.
