Uh, dude, he said every QB picked "IN" the 2nd round, not "AFTER" the 2nd round. Now admittedly, he missed Drew Brees who was the first pick in the second round when he was drafted, but you might want to sharpen up those reading comprehension skills before you go calling somebody an idiot.

Think about it!!!!!!

Why don’t you go back and look at EVERY QB picked in the 2nd round over the last 15 years. You know what you’ll find? No Super Bowls, no Pro Bowls, and like a 1-6 record in playoff games (I don’t recall the actual numbers, but they were atrocious).

Ok, to be blunt you are an idiot what round was Tom Brady taken in? Think about it !!!!!!

Then shut up

"one can win a game, one can't win anything"

Okay, let's examine that statement, shall we.
Vick has started 79 games in the league. He is 15 games over .500. Romo has started 61 games in the league. Despite a bad year last year, he's 17 games over .500. Vick has won exactly ONE more playoff game than Romo. Romo is almost 10 percentage points ahead of Vick in completions. He's almost 30 yards ahead in yards per game. Vick's best year ever in passing is 3018 yards. Romo has three seasons better than that with one of those almost 1500 yards more. Despite being more than a season behind Vick in games played, Romo is more than 2,000 yards ahead in passing with a better TD to INT ratio. The main reason Vick got a chance last year was because the Eagles' OL got Kolb knocked out of the second game.

You really appear to be hanging your hat on one playoff win. Personally, I don't see a big difference between 2-3 and 1-3. Not when neither QB has a Super Bowl. And certainly not when EVERY other stat points in the opposite direction.

The isssue raised by drop703 was regarding turnovers. The numbers illustrate the turnovers of the three QBs in question. The point is "Don't accuse one QB of being a turnover machine and then exclude another one who has many more turnovers". Clear enough?

haha thats an embarrasing confession by shanahan. c'mon, seriously? 10th overall? i thought it was a reach picking him in the second round. He flopped in miami and he will flop in washington. he doesnt seem to be comfortable on the field. Maybe because of inexperience but ive seen third string qb's play better than beck. if he proves me wrong, then so be it. until then i dont see him doing anything good.

@ drop703

Any particular reason why you're bagging on Romo and Manning and not Michael Vick?

Vick: 93 TDs 58 INTs 66 Fumbles
Romo: 118 TDs 62 INTs 38 Fumbles
Manning: 156 TDs 113 INTs 59 Fumbles

Appears to me as if Vick is quite the turnover machine for his career.

BTW, why don't you list all of the Hall of Fame QBs from the modern era who have a better TD to INT ratio than Romo. I'll start your list; Montana and Young. I'll let you continue, but don't expect to add anybody.

All I gotta say is, if we go through all this media hype just to see Bobblehands Grossman out there on opening day, I’m gonna return my new Tim Hightower jersey.

Hightower jersey? do you store it next to your Stacey Mack and Kareem Adul-Jabbar (miami) jerseys?

Mike Shanahan should have never hired his son!

Point blank the guy just doesn’t know what he is doing!
——————————————-
Again, ignorance abounds! The Skins key offensive statistics show that Kyle Shanahan and Mike Shanahan can coach, even with a subpar roster. The results were better than Zorn had.

Total Passing Yards – 8th in 2010; 16th in 2009
Total Rushing Per Carry – 4.2 (16th) in 2010; 3.9 (29th) in 2009

They have improved the RB’s this year, WR’s with Hankerson, Gaffney, Paul and Stallworth and O-Line with G Chester. They WILL BE better in 2011.

Kiss the rings….HAIL!

Mike Shanahan has no rings in 13 years

Kyle Shanahan has no rings period

I notice you didn't mention they improved the QB......... hmmmm pretty important part of any football team. If you think Stallworth is an addition you must be fantastic in your fantasy league!!!!!!!!! Ryan Torian just had surgery, Hightower fumbles everything, Gaffney is what 31 -32 years old, Moss is 32-33, Cooley had Knee surgery in Jan, Fletcher is like 36 years old, LaRon Landry has a bad Achillies, behind O.J. Atogwe you have nothing at FS and he is 30, Sav Rocca is 37 years old great pick-up!!!!!! We should know we got rid of him. Macho Harris is absolutely horrible we should know we got rid of him!!!!! Plus you go out and get Barry Cofield who is actually not bad in a 4-3 and you are going to use him at NT.............are you kidding me? The guy is 300lbs and not a 2 gap player on the inside.

In short can't wait to play you guys and good luck PS Tell Mike this is the NFL not the CFL.

I never knew anything about Beck, other than he was a good College QB who hasn't had success or legitimate chances in the NFL. I just finally looked him up on YouTube, and I gotta say the kid looks like a leader and a baller.
"That was the JaMarcus Russell year, with Brady Quinn, Trent Edwards, Kevin Kolb and Beck"

If the question is phrased in terms of which quarterback to pick, there really isn't a good answer. Russell: washout.
Quinn: absolutely terrible.
Edwards: mediocre concussion-case.
Kolb: Looks like he could be decent.

Really guys, which of these "studs" would you take over Beck? As much as I hate the Skins (and anything Shanahan related), it wasn't as stupid as it seems in the context of the QBs in that draft.
