Also, I think the easy way to get rid of the off-season tampering to to allow all players with expiring contracts (to-be-free-agents) one week to go from team to team and negotiate, get offer sheets, etc. All offer sheets MUST be presented to their “current team” to at least give them the chance to match/beat the offers. At Midnight, Free Agency opens and they can accept an whichever offer they want, sign and move on with their life.

Basically, allow a week of tampering before anyone can sign officially…kind of like they had this year! We all heard Nnamdi was going to the Eagles, but he couldn’t sign a contract until the league year officially started.
