The NFL is just effed up if they’re blacking out PRESEASON games. Plus they consider LA local to San Diego for blackouts (2 hours away with no traffic). WTF!

That was true 7 or 8 years ago but has not been the case since the start of the 13 game sweep.

Perhaps the biggest reason this garbage game isn’t blacked out is because the Chargers are requiring anyone buying tickets to the Packers/Chargers game in San Diego in November had to buy the same seats for this game. The ol’ bundle deal that’s all the rage with rinky-dink, Mickey Mouse franchises. The stands will still be empty, as a huge number of people who bought seats for this only did so to get to the other game.

I hate the Chargers. But they are a worthy adversary. I particularly despise Rivers.But he is really good.Pre-season games should be free.If they blackout during the regular season in that huge market,something is very wrong.

Being from south jersey and an eagles fan i cant help but laugh on sundays because i go to san diego state university now and it seems like every week i have to miss out on a game because the chargers are blacked out…thankfully i found an eagles bar out here

Charger fans, they’re so delusional. Oakland won both their home game in Oakland when Rivers coughed up the ball and Huff scored a TD and spanked them again at the home away from home game.
Not to mention the 56-44-2 all time record vs. SD. Wow, Oakland lost what was it, 12 consecutive up to last year’s sweep and you guys are still down by double digit? Fouts, Winslow, Means, where have you gone? Sorry, might be going back too far, most Charger Fans don’t know much about their franchise history.

Blackout rules are so dumb, its a good way to ensure struggling teams stay in the gutter because no one can watch their games. Its not as bad as MLB though, they blackout both teams, not just the home team like the NFL. And honestly I don’t see how not letting fans watch the games improves either sport.

I kinda surprised that not selling out a scrimmage is an issue.
It seems like it would be surprising if one sold out.
Good thing season ticket buyers throughout the NFL are force fed the pre-season at full price. Otherwise the stadiums would probably only be 1/3 full.

Nobody is talking about SD going to the SUperb Owl this season and for good reason. Their window has shut. They had 4 great looks at it but couldn’t CAPITALIZE.
