I’m stunned that so many comments GUARANTEE that the Redskins CANNOT/WILL NOT/NEVER WILL win the NFC East in 2011. Did any of you think the Cardinals would be in the Super Bowl at the end of the 2009 season? The Saints in 2010? Leave the guarantees to death and taxes and let the seaon play out.

But I really, genuinely don’t get the QB thing with the Redskins. Nothing against their two main guys, but every other team in the division has a bonafide star as QB. Even if they really, genuinely believe in these guys, they’re both projects, and the Shanahans have to know that the clock is ticking on them getting something going.

Could it really be that M. Shanahan has stars in his eyes over Andrew Luck, and sees the potential for another Elway to come his way? It seems ludicrous, but I can’t make sense out of it. Say what you will about Shanahan, it’s just not like him to be this unprepared at QB.

That goes for the Eagles too… As skins fan, let me tell you that you can’t help but to get excited with all the new players but it’s unlikely that they will do much until week 4-5…. Still won’t be able to defend the run….

Dallas…. Romo is a joke…. He has great games but when it comes to the games that they need him in the clutch… He is a non-factor… Who is ur running back? Choice and jones? Do u think they can hold up all season without injuries?

Giants…. They lost a couple key players ( s.smith, k. Boss, etc) so it will be interesting to see who they plug in… They are a disaplined team that will do well if the defense keeps pressuring QB’s

All that being said, if shanny relies on running the ball 40-50 times a game…. Hopefully all Rex has to do is hike the ball and hand it off…. Torain as main back…. Hightower as blocking/3rd down back… And Roy helu jr. As our backup and future back…. Write down his name cause he is gonna haunt your dreams.

Stating what he said was very much in context. It doesn’t get more cut and dry than saying “But when it’s all said and done, I really feel like this team’s gonna win the [NFC] East.”

If Rex had specifically stated he “believed” in his team, I have no problem with that. But when you say “I feel like this team’s gonna win the [FNC] East”, you better damn well have reasons to back it up. Can you give me legitimate reasons, given the fact that the last 4 years, the skins were in last place 3 times, and 3rd place once. They brought in Hightower and Stallworth. Their draft wasn’t spectacular. This is an unfounded homer call by Grossman who wouldn’t have a job in the NFL if it wasn’t for the Redskins. PERIOD.

The Cowboys were 3-3 in the division versus 2-4, and not 4-2 for the Skins, that is.

You see, it is really easy – go to NFL.com and look up standings for 2010. You will see the Cowboys on top of the 4Skins due to more division wins at 3-3, versus 4-2. Who cares where they picked in the draft. And by the way, the stats that were quoted on defense for your 4Skins you can also find at nfl.com. Those were full season stats, and they don’t lie. One game isn’t going to “skew” the stats very much at all. Those stats were based on a collective season. Collectively, the 4Skins sucked in 2010,

Last season you didn’t even have a starting QB going down for half the season or a HC coach being fired to help explain why the team sucked so badly. No, but they did pay a 20 million dollar roster bonus to some Fat Arss worthless player. And Fat Al’s FA acquisition by the 4Skins is the WORST FA signing in history. You have that to hang on your mantle.

Man up. Your posts are about as bad as your team. You don’t have to like what I wrote, but you can’t dispute the stats or that Grossman is talking out of his arss.

I’m going to assume you didn’t watch the entire interview where he said this. Context is everything.

Pass defense… OH YEAH Matt Schaub and D McNabb BOTH had carreer highs in passing(nearly 500 yds) in a SHOOTOUT that ended in OT SKEWING pass defense stats for BOTH teams to finish out the season.
