Now with all this talk about Arizona supposedly looking at Lee Evans (WR for Buffalo) via trade, this idea of acquiring T.O. seems smarter. Rather then trading a piece of your team or future draft pick for Evans I believe T.O. can still perform and cost less then Evans. As a Buffalonian and a die hard Bills fan I’d like to see Lee head out to see him succeed because his career isn’t what it should be! But thats just my intake. Plus if you look at Arizona’s schedule T.O. obviously be a huge factor with quite a few motivating games! Have you checked out their schedule!! This is Crazy!! They play Eagles (Week 10!) Dallas (Week 13!), Cincinnati (Week 16!), and for what its worth the 49′ers (Week 11 & 14)…T.O. enjoy the desert!

You guys need to stop repeating this false rumor of Owens tearing his ACL on the set of a reality show.

He tore it when he was bowling back in April. That's why one of the first things he did after he was recovered enough from the surgery to walk without crutches was head back to the bowling alley; it was part of a mental process to overcome what happened.

As for possible teams interested, the Ravens have been in touch with Rosenhaus about Owens more than once since the 2004 nullified trade. It never really materialized into anything, but the Ravens always entertain the idea of adding him when he becomes available. Contrary to popular belief, Ozzie Newsome still likes Owens. John Harbaugh is also a big supporter of his. The issue will ultimately be whether or not they think he's fully recovered, the best receiver available, a good fit for their offense, and whether or not Owens can get past Ozzie's remark ("sometimes a black man's gotta be slapped")to his former agent following the 2004 trade.

If the answer to those 4 questions is "yes," he'll be wearing a Ravens uniform.

Mike says: And then there’s the question of whether anyone will truly be interested, given his reputation for ripping apart a locker room.

T.O. may have had a bad reputation before coming to Buffalo, but while he was here in Western NY, he was a class A veteran. I don't know why everyone states that he has always had issues with every team he has been with considering he was very giving and well behaved here in the B-lo.

Maybe it was a fluke. Or maybe, once he met the best owner in the league, he knew respect was due. Or could it have been that he finally had great teammates, a fan base(greatest fans in the NFL) that loves and stands by their team through the good and bad, no matter what.

Either way, I'm sure most of Western NY would agree...
Terrell Owens was well liked during his time here, and if we weren't so stacked at receiver, we'd be glad to have him back.

Go Bills!!!!

As a free agent not under contract to any team, he is free to seek whatever medical treatment he wants, not just the NFL approved treatments that don’t include banned substances that greatly speed up recovery time from these types of injuries.

I am assuming that the new CBA is like the old CBA, and there is some advantage in bringing in veteran players AFTER week 1 (I believe it was that their money isn't guaranteed).

With a guy less than 100% one month before the season starts, that timing might make sense anyway.

A team with a preseason or week #1 WR injury calls TO after week one

I am assuming that the new CBA is like the old CBA, and there is some advantage in bringing in veteran players AFTER week 1 (I believe it was that their money isn’t guaranteed).

wait - TO could be signed if and only if there is an interested team. Thanks for that brilliant piece of insider information. Anything else you want to add while you are at it? Such as the team with more points will win the game?

T.O. hurt is knee while playing basketball for the Hollywood Knights early in the offseason. This is what the C.E.O. Michael Mirisch told us this when he came to Italy on the USO tour back in June. He was supposed to be in Sigonella Italy on June 4th, but couldnt fly because doctors told him not to. I was one of the referees of the game and that was the reason the fans were given he wasnt there. I would be surprised if TO is a factor this year he is too old to come back from an ACL tear

Anyone who says "Baltimore Ravens would be a great spot for Terrell Owens" obviously has no idea of the history between the two.

Owens did everything he could to void the trade when 49ers sent him to Baltimore 7 seasons ago.

Then, a while after that... Owens told people that Ozzie Newsome played the "race card" to try and trap Owens into signing with the Ravens.

There is absolutely no way that:
1. the Ravens would sign Terrell Owens.
2. That Owens would want to sign with the Ravens.

So yes, even though the Ravens probably need a veteran receiver, and even though Terrell Owens is a very talented veteran receiver... there is NO POSSIBILITY OF THIS HAPPENING!

Actually, it wouldn't be as remarkable as you think.

As a free agent not under contract to any team, he is free to seek whatever medical treatment he wants, not just the NFL approved treatments that don't include banned substances that greatly speed up recovery time from these types of injuries.

A four month recovery time from a ligament injury is not all uncommon when aided chemically.

And, yes, I speak from personal experience. In my twenties, I shredded my elbow so badly the doctor's considered amputating my arm. They told me I would never straighten the arm again or regain feeling in my hand.

I supplemented my rehab with some things I was able to acquire from a helpful friend from my gym and was back on the rugby pitch in 4 months with full range of motion and feeling in my arm.

Allowing NFL players to incorporate certain substances, under a doctors care, into their rehab regimens would shorten recovery times and lengthen careers.

But hey, why let reason and common sense get in the way of a good witch hunt.
