PFT picks our favorite teams under the radar

With the Eagles, Patriots, and Jets sucking up so much attention, too many promising squads have been overlooked the last two weeks.

On Thursday’s PFT Live, Florio and I pick a pair of teams from each conference we think can contend.

Yeah, we already gave away one in our Philip Rivers post. Watch below for the rest.

  1. Too bad for this league. I think it’s time the Steelers pack it up and start their own league. It only makes sense seeing they are in a league of their own. We dominate competition and sometimes throw teams a bone and let them win a title. We will win another to silence haters and move on to the SFL. Goodbye folks

  2. i am so tired of this “under the radar” BS. IT MEANS ABSOLUTELY NADA, SQUAT, JACK SHIZ. Teams dont play invisible teams or teams that have an invisible “under the radar” running back.

  3. we dominate competition?im sorry i didnt know you were part of the team. congrats on making the cut buddy. Did you rape someone, use gay slurs against your boss, vote no against player safety..etc… to solidify your spot

Haven’t you gotten tired of logging back on and off all day switching screen names yet?

Clearly, you don’t have a job.

  5. I can’t wait until history repeats itself like it does every year and teams not even “under the radar” come out and do unexpected things, and teams “on the radar” stink it up and fail miserably.

This is what makes the NFL so great.

  6. Youmightknowthis……you make Steelers fans look bad with every single post you make… YOU ARE AN IDIOT

  7. Mike Tomlin, age 39, is almost old enough to play defense for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

  8. raiders are terrible really??2nd ranked rush offense and they beat the chargers twice last year not to mention a filed goal made against cards sure a loss is a loss but could been 9-7

“All of these Steelers fans who post on these articles are delusional.”

    You must be new here.
That particular clown isn’t a Steelers fan at all, but rather some deranged, attention seeking troll, who for the last few weeks has been going by the name of 6ringofsteel, among others.

I think that’s kind of the idea.
/haven’t you ever seen a troll before?

Actually, sounds good to me. I’d love an NFL without the Steelers.

  13. Nice job, Rosenthal. Your inclusion of each teams interconference divisional rivals and your keen, in-depth analysis momentarilydiverted my attention away from your hideous hair helmet.

  14. Giants better than the ‘boys??

    Clearly another well informed statement.

    Brain check over here please.

  15. Can you just please one time put these videos into text format? Your videos are super slow, and they suck. Thanks.

Sometimes, if I change the name of the team, I can almost imagine it being Pervy, coming back after having abandoned his allegiance to the Queens. But then I read the entire post and realize how consistently lame he is. Even Pervy was clever every now and then.

Yeah, your team, team owner, and fanbase all want to spread the wealth around with regards to Lombardi trophies by having thrown the NFC Champion Packers “a bone”.

Speaking of bones, you may want to stop smoking the one you rolled earlier, because 100% of the rest of the Steeler fans would disagree with you.

your team lost the SB because you were beaten by a better team, and were considered the underdogs at that. It is obvious you are still so butthurt about that SB loss that you rationalize it as throwing a bone to the Packers. This year the Ravens will knock you out of the playoffs – will that be another example of “a bone” thrown to the Ravens?

What an absolute MORON. your statements aren’t only bad for the Steeler fanbase and bad for the league. They are bad for society only display ignorance and Ego. The smartest thing you said in that whole post was “goodbye folks”. I hope you follow through with that one, loser.

  18. Everyone should get off the JETS bandwagon since they are going nowhere!! I guarantee they finish 3rd in the AFC EAST! They are PAPER CHUMPS!!!

  19. youmightnotknowthisbut…

Hines Ward is done, D’s will eliminate Wallace out with double teams, and Mendenhall is terrible. Hello, 1998-2000 repeat.

  20. Wow, all this time I’ve been under the impression that teams flying under the radar meant teams that DON’T usually make the playoffs every year. I’m surprised that you guys didn’t pick the Packers as an under the radar team to add to your pick of the Steelers. You could have saved 13 minutes of my life by simply saying there are no teams flying under the radar this year. I timed that a 4 seconds.

  21. Shocker MF thinks the Steelers are great and are underrated. O and another schocker he thinks the Ravens will be horrible and not make the playoffs. And hes crying about how no AFC champion has been as overlooked the next year as the Steelers are right now. Yea your right the Steelers are always underrated, and over penalized, and over suspended, and Goodell is picking on them.

Come on Simpson give it a rest.

Have you ever heard of a SuperBowl hangover? Its not just for the winner its for the loser too. A lot of the time the loser doesnt make it out of the 1st round if they even make the playoffs. No team has made it back to the superbowl the following year after losing it in nearly 2 decades. The only team to do it in the last 20 years was the Buffalo Bills 1994 when they lost their 4th in a row. It has only happened 4 other times. 3 of those times were in the early 70s Cowboys in 71 Dolphins in 72 and Vikings in 74. The other time was the Broncos in 84.

So excuse everybody for not thinking the all-powerful Steelers will be turning the NFL on its head and doing something that has rarely ever been done and all but stopped happening since 1974. And hasnt be done at all since the NFL adopted free agency. Silly us.
