Matt Prater was arrested for driving under the influence last week in the Denver area, according to the Denver Post. He’s charged with DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident.
We have to assume the Broncos were aware of the 10-day-old incident.
Prater kicked in Thursday night’s preseason opener, hitting all three of his field goals.

Okay, so 10 days Tebow was still the presumed starter in Denver. Maybe Prater figured he didn’t need to be in game shape… ever… since the likelihood of that offense ever getting in FG range was so slim.

I’ve said it before the Broncos commit way more crimes these days then the Raiders.
We all are very quick to judge on a DUI. Day after day millions of places host happy hour and countless people drive home “drunk”. Many of the people who will bash him and others do this every week. This is a societal issue and something we need to all be more vigilant to address. A Designated driver is almost a joke anymore and I really wonder why.

Why is it that there has Benn Several DUI arrests SINCE hines Ward’s, yet I havent heard anyone bashing those guys half as much as they did Ward? Must be a whole Heck of a lot of Jealous Steeler Hater’s out there.. Guess i’d be a miserable SOB if I chose a crappy team to support!!!

He might post from his local library but that is only because they allow only five books to be checked out at a time. He enjoys reading each of the SIX books on Steeler Super Bowl victories…

The best kicker drunk driving story has to be Pete Stoyanovich. He was drunk in an IHOP back when he was still the kicker with the Fins and the cops actually drove him home so he would avoid any trouble. When they left, Petey decided to drive back to IHOP, just to say, “See, I’m not that drunk!” Needless to say, he was arrested for DUI.

Except for one person, no one has noticed that Prater has been ignored because he is white, yet Ward and other black players are crucified like they killed someone. The Tea Paetty mentality that is sweeping this country is a disgrace and it is about time someone did something about it. The rise of unfair treatment to minorities (as well as women and gays) needs to end, even if we have to start jailing people.

Yep, Prater’s drunk driving has been ignored because he is white. It has nothing to do with him being a kicker. Nor the fact that no one outside of Denver has ever heard of him. It’s gotta be a race thing…

You’re right. Pittsburgh does win championships. I’m not a total Steeler hater and can admit that they are a good team. I just really don’t like Hines Ward.
