In addition, I’m a type-1 diabetic as well. It doesn’t make you any tougher than the next guy/girl playing sports with the disease, but it certainly means managing it is a tad more difficult.

With that said, he’s tougher than nails based on the severity and amount of the hits he’s taken.

MJD hasn’t done anything? How about make the pro bowl every year he’s started in the NFL? Top 5 in the NFL in rushing yards every year he’s started. He was 3rd in ROY voting, 3rd best KRer in the NFL as a rookie. Has scored more rushing TDs in his career than Adrian Peterson.

most people are like sheep– they hear one man’s opinion about something and base their own off it, regardless of its accuracy. In this case, most people formed their opinion on Cutler after ESPN and several other media outlets bashed him for forcing his way out of Denver. I never heard one criticism of his personality or body language when he was a 25 year old throwing for 4500 yards in Denver. Yet as soon as he landed in Chicago, he received a barrage of negative publicity concerning his perceived personality before he even got a chance to suit up.

For an example of the various ways the media works to spin Cutler’s personality to fit their own perception of him, pay attention to how various media outlets (i.e. this website) always try to find the stupidest looking picture they can of him for every article they post (see picture above).

Yes, believe it or not, you let the media heavily influence your perceptions of something you really know nothing about, even though they are literally just as ignorant on the subject as you are. That doesn’t make the perception valid. It makes you a sheep.

actually just watched that clip this morning, Cutler never even calls for a flag. the flag was out before Cutler’s head went careening into the turf from a dirty hit. If Stafford would have been hit like that, you’d have been crying for the same flag.

the difference would have been that Stafford wouldn’t have gotten up. Cutler popped up like it didn’t faze him, and went on to beat the Lions in the 4th quarter.

we have a guy in MJD who’s never really done anything in his career… he’s known for what… pimping himself as a top flight fantasy player??? I’ve never heard Cutler do that… Cutler was in the NFC title game and some scrub in Jacksonville is running his mouth?? That comes off as really really lame…

Cutler has a resume… MJD plays in a minor league football market, has never done anything in the NFL and now known for acting like a girl talking behind another girl that he is obviously jealous of.

a good friend of mine just recently became a grandfather for the first time. he was born a year AFTER the jets last won. nuff said about the jets and their fans.
