Give the Bears their credit. They had to play Seattle to get to the NFC Championship game. Too many people slept on Seattle. With a bunch of unwanted talent from other teams they put together the best 7-9 performance I've seen in my life. Then Jay Cutler was sadly hurt. When the cameras weren't on him though he was cheerleader extraordinaire for his team.

Come on....Bears suck. Enjoy the trash that is Roy Williams.

@bearsfool.....wow you sound really worried and worked up. Better take your blood pressure medicine. Just a few question for you: you are saying the Lions fans can't let it go? Who came to our posts and started in on us? I'll save you time and give you the answer: a few of the classless Bears fans (most gave class and I respect them).

I have never said the Lions are better than your bears. They will each do what they do. But I will end it with this - "good teams move on to the next game" - your words. Now your logic tells us the Lions are not a good team yet, but why are you on a Lions post spewing garbage? Nuff said....get a life!

All this talk about the Lions secondary..."who" are the Bears kidding? Lions secondary is better than Chicago's. All this talk about it I swear, how many teams have a superstar corner? Lions don't have 1 either, what they DO have is a 5 man deep rotation. ALSO, as for "They need better LB's"...who was 2nd in the league in tackles last season again? NOT URSLACKER!!!

I would like to apologize for my stupid bears brethren here. Lions are gonna be great, but that is IF they can have stafford healthy. I went to college in Michigan (MSU) the last 4 years and i saw the lions game. They are on the right track. They will be a force to reckon with if they can get secondary, and a couple of great LBs. I can't wait to watch them this year gonna be exciting. But you lions fans, please wait before you crown yourself SB champs. You just lost out on your backup RB who was supposed to be a huge help this year, and you still need a secondary. That said they have a bright future and they will most likely finish 3rd in the division this year. 3rd because not only do they have a 3rd hardest schedule, but they also have no D, especially since fairleys gone now, and no experience.

As for Bears, they are on the decline and if we do not rebuild fast we're screwed. Urlacher is 32, Peppers is 33, tillman is 32, briggs is 29. our D line is all new. Not to mention our O is not consistent and martz may be gone after this year. If martz is gone (i dont mind that), cutler will have another new O coordiantor which will be 4th one in 5 years. This is not good for a development of a QB. Ask drew stanton. That said i still see bears finishing 2nd in division just because they have more experience and they have leadership on D. But next year it will change. Vikings will finish last as always lol

If “history” serves me right the Lions won their last game last year on the heels of a 4 game winning streak. The Bears on the other hand ended their season with a loss.

___________________________________

O, I'm sorry Mr. History buff you are correct the mighty Detroit Lions went on a 4 game winning streak to end the season:
A Aaron Rodgers'-less Packer team
A fading Buccaneers team
A Favre-less Viking team (mind you we helped you out by retiring him the game before)
And lastly the all mighty Miami Dolphins.
Bravo!

All we did was lose twice to the eventual Super Bowl Champion (one in the playoffs).

@honolulubluekoolaid
1. A Lions fan brought it up. Do a little more reading its fundamental.
2. You barely beat or should have beat the Packers, Eagles, & Jets NEWSFLASH: WE DID BEAT THEM! But you failed to mention losses to the Bills, Cowboys, and Vikings, teams we also BEAT!
3. You need to get off these two losses and focus on this division. That's why we're not worried about you. You can win one or maybe even both games but you still won't be in the playoff hunt. You'll be too focused on avenging last years losses to worry about THE REST OF THE LEAGUE!
4. Lighten up a little?! Get a reality check. You pick up a couple good players in your front 7 but it they can't stop anybody in the secondary and they can't protect your pillow soft QB.

Why are the Bears and Lions in here arguing? Ummmm the Packers were the best team in football last season, you know, those guys in your division? Probably should worry about them, quit talking trash to one another, and quit letting them fly under the radar. And I hate the damn Packers...

Either way, the Lions are going to be pretty good IF Staff is healthy - so the chances are not good (kidding).

=====================================

In the NFC Championship game.
Yes, the Bears lost in the PLAYOFFS one game short of the Super Bowl while you are wetting your pants because the Lions had to win their last 4 games to finish 6-10.

How retarded are the Lions fans really?

Bears fans act like their team dismantled the lions last season. At least one if not both should have went the other way.

Lions fans keep bringing up these games. Because these are the ONLY two games that could have gone the other way. What about the rest? You lost 10 games how do you explain those?

Lions fans act like we cost them a playoff spot by winning two games against them.

Good teams move on to the next week and stop complaining about 2 games in a 16 game season.
--------------

1. Another Bears fan brought "those" games "over the last few years" up first.

2. Lions lost and won some closer games against better teams than the bears. (close losses to perennial playoff teams: eagles, packers, jets)

3. Just face it, win or lose the Lions will not be the bears bit@h anymore.

4. You are always on Lions posts on this site, trying to get to Lions fans..trust me a bearsfool can not break fans who supported their team through the lowest they could ever get. WE ARE REAL FANS no matter what any one thinks.

5. You won't find Lions fans on Bears posts acting stupid. I give your bears credit even though I really don't think much about them except for twice a year. The bears had a good season last year. But that was last year. They could go 6-10 this year or 13-3 and neither outcome would surprise me. Just lighten up a little bears fans.

I just stumbled upon an article and I laughed because i knew that i would see lions fans bitching about last year.
It took 3 redzone turnovers for us to let you stay in the game. It was as statistical and actual asskicking and should have been a 14 to 21 pt victory.
I love it when people are outraged at a penalty like when Suh forearmed Cutler in the back of the head but if it came against Stafford you'd be just as pissed.
Bears only have history? i believe the Bears were in the Superbowl and were in the NFC title game with an 11-5 reg season record and the Lions have been the joke of the league for the last 7 to 10 years??
Lions fans am i right? Can we dial down the bravado a bit until you are a .500 team at least??

If I was a Bears fan I would be proud of both wins against the Lions last year, the Calvin Johnson touchdown and the roughing the passer call against Suh for not touching Cutler. I guess the Bears spend all there money on paying off refs and can’t afford to water their grass."

..and what about the previous ten years?

Whether you agree with it or not, even Johnson said it was the right call. Your problem should have been with Calvin putting the ball down. Rules are rules.

It was 1st and 10 from the 14. Did you even watch the game? Or it just that selective memory again?

We coulda settled for a field goal if worse came to worse.

You want to go back to that game? How about that play happened with 8 minutes left in the game and you guys hadn't scored a point since the 3rd quarter. You had a 3 point lead all that time and did nothing with it? (Heck we gave you the ball at the 9 yard line FOR YOU TO GET THAT 3 POINT LEAD)You need to be blaming your football team instead of the refs.
