Sorry, I’ve been a Lions fan my entire life. I’ve lived in Detroit my entire life. All of my friends and family are lifelong Lions fans. And I didnt think the hit on Dalton was dirty, his helmet just came off (probably cause he used someone elses helmet like Bobby Boucher cause he never plays) And the hit on Cutler last year was downright BS

Really. There are no other options. It’s one of those two, or both.

What I also hate about these lunkheads is their lack of perspective about the value of the money they’re throwing away. Instead of pissing away $15K on a cheap shot, Suh could take that money and pay for a chunk of an underprivileged kid’s college degree. Or pay for a major medical procedure that someone can’t afford to have. Or bail out a family looking at financial ruin on a loan they can’t pay.

Football is a rough game not meant for everybody. Suh plays hard between the whistles, VERY effectively. I LOVE that guy – wish he was in Black & Gold. Football is for those that have the skill, speed, strength, explosion and mindset to compete at the highest level.

Actually, in many 4-3 defenses, they do use the term nose tackle. The other DT is the under tackle. A base, vanilla 4-3 may have the DT headup on the Gs, but most 4-3s have one DT in the weakside A gap (the NT) and the other on the strongside Gs outside eye. This is designed to funnel inside runs to the strongside A gap and the MLB. If you notice the DTs on your team are switching back and forth from the right side to the left side, it is because they are putting their NT and UT in the appropriate spots against the line formation that the offense is in.

And the kind of actions that Suh is getting a bad reputation for does not cause fear. It incites rage. Blowing by the blocker and burying the QB causes fear. Running down a player in the flat, stopping their momentum, then picking them up and slamming them to the turf just gets the linemen keyed up to bury him. Brock Lesnar did that once against my HS team. He didn’t lay a hand on a ballcarrier the rest of the game.
