Jags add another linebacker

The Jaguars have signed in the past couple of weeks a pair of big-name linebackers, Paul Posluszny and Matt Roth.

They’ve added another linebacker with a somewhat lower NFL “Q” rating.  The team has announced that linebacker Gerris Wilkinson is now a Jaguar.

A third-round pick in 2006, Wilkinson has played in 58 games, including seven regular-season starts.  He has 32 tackles playing defense, and 36 special-teams tackles.

Wilkinson played in every game of the Giants’ 2007 Super Bowl run, starting the wild-card win over the Bucs, during which he made seven tackles.

The Jags also announced that they have signed punter Brent Bowden, a sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers in 2010.  The Jaguars dumped linebacker Alvin Bowen and receiver John Matthews, keeping their roster at 90.

If either of those two were big-name linebackers, your post may have meant something.

Yes, very miserable. Miles of white sandy beaches are awful. As are the world class golf courses. No state income tax is terrible. I am near suicidal.
