With the last of the four first-round picks of the Jets leaving the organization last week when defensive end Shaun Ellis signed with the Patriots, one of the other three is hoping to get back into the NFL.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, tight end Anthony Becht had a workout earlier today with the Falcons. He left Flowery Branch without a contract.
Signing with the Falcons would have reunited Becht with former Jets defensive end John Abraham, one of the other first-round picks in 2000. (The fourth was quarterback Chad Pennington.)
Becht, 34, also has played for the Buccaneers, Rams, and Cardinals, is represented by Bill Baldini of BAC Sports Management. Becht was out of the league in 2010.
In 10 NFL seasons, Becht played in 158 of 160 games, missing only two games during his rookie season.

I guess this post is better than nothing at all. I think…
He looks a little like Vinny Testaverde. Too bad he never contributed like him.
Reggie Kelly would be a better pick-up.
