In June, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora got into a Twitter fight. Former Giants receiver Steve Smith jumped in, pointing out that the Eagles trophy case looks like Mother Hubbard’s cupboard.

So, when it comes to Steve Smith, LeSean McCoy still may be inclined to mutter a different phrase that starts with “muther.”

Smith had said he plans to seek out McCoy, to give him a hug, and to attribute the ugliness to “Twitter beef.” So how did it go?

That’s going to take a little time,” Smith said Monday, via PhillySportsDaily.com. "[McCoy] wasn’t the happiest. He said he meant what he said, so it’s all good.”

Apparently, it’s not all good. And thus it could be getting good.
