There was an average of 10 kickoffs per game last year. There were an average of about 140 offensive plays per game. So we’re getting upset about less than 1% of the game. And if teams have a good return game, don’t you think they’ll take the chance and come out of the end zone? That was still allowed, last I check.

The New England Patriots employ a sideline wall – much like the New York Jets did last month which drew them a $100,000 fine from the league, according to a report Sunday by Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer.

Glazer revealed video showing a Patriots player sticking his leg out in the path of an opponent’s gunner during a punt return.

Last month, the Jets suspended strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi after he tripped Nolan Carroll of the Miami Dolphins during a punt.

New York special teams coach Mike Westhoff had accused the Patriots of employing similar tactics.
